This is green leaf tea with a very small amount of matcha powder added for flavor. It is NOT matcha powder. It is bagged tea that you steep in the cup.

All of our pyramid tea bags (including our ITO EN Traditional and matcha LOVE tea bags) are made of food grade, BPA-free PET or nylon mesh that meet FDA regulatory requirements for hot beverage contact applications. We are also actively researching compostable and plant-based material options as part of our continued focus on environmental sustainability. If you would like to avoid using our nylon teabags while we research sustainable packaging solutions, we do offer a selection of loose leaf teas, which you can find on our website at the following link: hXXps://itoen.com /collections /loose-leaf . In addition, our ITO EN Oi Ocha, Hojicha, Genmaicha and Mugicha tea bags on our website use paper tea bags instead of our nylon tea bags.
