First shave today on this and it was pretty good. I had a henson and liked it but got the mild aggression and it didn't do so good for course hair. It was still a pretty good shave compared to cartridge. I decided to go with the rockwell after the henson and enjoyed this razor quite a bit. I am not good with razors but decided to go safety razor a while back and rockwell was as high rated as the henson. I got this model since it was a little more aggressive and it worked well on the 3. I will learn it better and get a better shave on my next time. I really like how solid it feels on the handle. The gunmetal is what I want on everything. I literally can not say a single wrong thing about this razor. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I’m relatively new to safety razors, that being said I’m very happy that I stumbled onto this razor.It is perfect for someone who doesn’t have a lot of experience in this type shaving.It’s very forgiving.I had tried another brand before this one and didn’t have much success. I thought it was my lack of experience.Once I received the Rockwell I realised it wasn’t me, it was the razor.I have shaved several times since receiving it. I recommend getting the plates to customise your shave.

This is my first safety razor, and so far I'm very pleased with my purchase. High quality, weighty product. It came with easy-to-follow instructions for adjusting the razor for different skin and whisker types. The packaging held everything securely in place for shipping and is easy to recycle because it's just paper - no plastic anywhere.I've only shaved with it a few times, but are pleased with the results. It feels great in the hand. My only suggestion for improvement would be to include some tips for safety razor shaving for us noobs. A QR code leading to a list of pointers or a video on their website would do the trick. Not a big deal though - YouTube is full of such things.

I bought this because my adjustable razor I had broke and wanted a new one I saw the Rockwell and that on YouTube it was a great razor but I did not like the idea of plate setting for it and have 3 plates with two settings on each side compared to my old adjustable razor from global shaves fat guy razor but did not to spend the money on a new one for hundred dollars while the Rockwell 2c was 40 dollars I thought it was a good price I got it and had to say there Swedish blades are horrible to me because having thick coarse hair but it did shave really good but the setting plate it has the 1 and 3 does not cut it for me it does give a close shave to me more like it trim my hair about 80 to 90 percent but no nicks or anything so I had to order a setting blade on there website and got the one that has a four setting plate and it was perfect and even on there website it says save your money and get the 6c which is 60 dollars. And now I understand but did not want 3 plates for the settings rather get the dial style adjustable safety razor but this Rockwell with a four setting works incredible and recommended it, but get a better blade maybe a platinum blade on there I use the Gillette platinum blade which works for me. And there plate setting is 18 dollars on there website so it’s better with the 6c instead the 2c but if you get the 6c I recommend you order a case for it from Etsy they have cases for the 6c razor to store the razor with the 3 plates settings. But this razor is 4 stars because to its not up to my standards but the 6c is a five stars because of the plates settings.

I shaved with a straight razor for years but as I have gotten older my hand has become less steady. I switched to Harry's a few years ago but I can't stand those disposable plastic cartridges. I purchased this Rockwell and it's great! I tried it on level 1 at first but it left me feeling like I had a five o'clock shadow all day even though shaving was a breeze. I switched to level 3 and I'm in love with this razor. I can shave my face and my head with no problems and great results. The weighted handle helps keep me steady.

Rust. Just after a month, or so, I noticed that the handle was full of rust spots.
