is it 6400 compatible?

Hello, It does work with a6400.

Does this work with the sony a5100?

It did not work with my a5100. It works at first, but when I turn the camera off, and switch it back on, the camera doesn't actually come on. If I remove the dummy battery and re-insert it (full power cycle) the camera does come back on. You will likely be better off with the "official" Sony AC-PW20 kit which unfortunately costs 5x as much but is also available on Amazon.
