Very useful for the right situation
Understand, I am not using this device to deter fuel theft or anything like that. I am simply keeping my kids from filling my fuel tank with rocks! I have a 3/4 ton diesel truck and it has a nice, wide fuel mouth. Downside.... my kids love the idea of throwing stuff in there. So for my situation, this cap is safe, effective and affordable. It was a perfect fit for my F-250.

Helps prevent theft of fuel
Stant is a name brand company, so I thought this would help with theft prevention. Being green, it helps identify my fuel as diesel. Somewhat tricky to lock and unlock, but it works well after locked. I guess it will make less desirable for thief when looking for diesel fuel to steal.

Works well for 2022 Ford F-350 diesel.
Great locking cap to prevent access to your fuel tank. A malicious or accidental addition of anything other than diesel fuel in your tank can cost $15,000+ in damages! Provides piece of mind that nobody can open it without a key. Fits on my 2022 Ford Super Duty. Wish it was easy to order a spare key (I want a third, it comes with 2)

Protect it from water
The mechanism was a bit finicky with locking and unlocking, and the plastic felt fragile and low-quality. But, overall, the cap worked ok until the winter. Some water seeped into the lock and then froze. I couldn't get the key into the lock, and so I couldn't access my tank. Had to break the entire cap to be able to fill up. I didn't like the green color with my red vehicle, so I purchased a different, higher quality black locking cap.
