Beautiful match to my KEF LS50's
I had been looking for a suitable 24" stand for my KEF LS50 bookshelf speakers. After reading the many positive reviews here on Amazon, I placed my order. They arrived quickly, and were well packaged. Assembly was an easy 10 minutes, making sure to super-tighten the top and bottom plates. I have the shiny piano black cabinets on my speakers, and these stands are a perfect match. The tempered glass base plate is very stable and attractive. I have hardwood floors, and the rubber tips included with these stands are very effective in keeping the bottom points from marring the floor. At about 12 pounds each, they appear very stable, but I am considering filling the vertical tubes with sand or another inert filler for added stability and sound enhancement.Overall, I am very pleased with these stands, and can highly recommend them for your bookshelf speakers. Excellent price and manufacturing build. Oh, and my wife, who is more concerned with aesthetics than fidelity, is also impressed with the way they look!

Awesome Stands!
I bought these stands for my SVS Prime bookshelf speakers and they are quite impressive. They arrived packaged as well as any mass produced product that I have purchased. The fit and finish is flawless. All screws and their associated fixing points are high quality with no issues of things not being lined up, or screwing together. The top plate and support pole are a high gloss black, and the base while being tempered glass, looks like it is also black once they're in place because under the glass is a black plate, so you do not "just see your floor" through the bases. They come with 8 little rubber pads for the top plate, but they are pretty thin, so I replaced them with these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0084ELY5O?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 and couldn't be happier. The stands are very heavy on their own and come with adjustable floor spikes that you can use, or not, but I chose to use them since they sit on carpet........ There are some little rubber caps that fit over the spikes for use on tile/laminate/wood but I can't comment on how good they are.Top notch stand that will last forever.

Solid and beautiful
Packaging arrived complete with no damage. All the parts needed were inside including hardware (bolts, washers, spikes, spike covers, and an allen wrench) and manual. The instructions were straightforward. These stands are solid and beautiful and complements my simple entertainment center. The tubes were wide and the bases are made of tempered glass. It feels solid and weighs decently. You can probably fill this with sand or small gravel to add weight to suit your needs. Spikes are provided for carpeting but also includes spike covers for hardwood floor use.A piece of advice on cable management (see pic). The best time to fish the wires through is during the assembly process, as it makes things a lot easier. [Kudos to a reviewer here on Amazon]. I used two 12AWG cables on each side to bi-amp each speaker with no issues through the holes. Banana plugs came on after.Application: Used as stands for a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 225s. The speakers are held via a [museum putty] which others have done. Blue Tak is another option. This is a good solution which holds the speakers solidly without the worry of it being knocked off the pedestal when bumped.I am very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommended!

Good Stable Speaker Stand
I'm very happy with this stand. I'm replacing a Sanus wood stand that was okay but this is an upgrade. The stand is fairly heavy and very stable with my speaker on top. It is designed to use with the spikes and provides heavy rubber sleeves for the spikes for my wood floor. The spikes are pretty much mandatory. The "cons" - the "cable management" consists of a 3/4 or 1" hole on each end of the pipe to route the wire. Adequate for sure, but it would have been much cleaner to have provided a hole in the bottom of the base to route the cable up through the bottom since the base hoovers an inch and a half off the floor with the spikes. They could have easily provided both options. There is not a gasket or detent to help with attaching top and bottom plates, so just lining up by sight is a crapshoot but not too big a deal. The base is a very thick and heavy glass plate 3/4" thick with solid spike attachment points and good looking spike implants.

Great Product!
Very impressed with these speaker stands!Pros: Flawless black finish - attractive (wife even thinks they look great in our living room) - solid with 30 pound speakers sitting on top - priced competitively - easy to set up.Cons: Shipping was a bit slow - styrofoam packaging was a bit messy to clean up but DID protect stands well in shipment.Summary: a very nice product that does what they are designed to do well, and look great doing it! Very good value. Definitely would purchase again.

Overall great bang for your buck. I'd buy again.
Overall these are pretty great speaker stands. The bases are sufficiently heavy and make them feel very stable. The gloss finish looks pretty nice overall. The few complaints I have are minor. First, the foam pads included that are meant to go on the top plate and touch the speakers are quite soft and cheap. I'll probably replace them with something more substantial. Also, the holes for the speaker wire are very rough with quite a few burrs. It would be possible to snag the insulation on your wire and maybe short it out if you have thin insulation. A tip for passing the wires through: I had a string with a weight on it that I dropped through the top hole and out the bottom, then tied the string to my speaker wire and pulled it up through.
