I really don't understand why this album doesn't get more love. This is not supposed to be the sequel to Eazy Duz it or even his EP's. This is a compilation of stuff Eazy E wanted put out as a compilation for his fans and for the world, it spanned from like 92-95 I think. The sad thing is that the problems between Dre and Cube had been resolved and NWA was gonna record together again before Eazy died and he even mentions this on here. As far as the quality of this album, he went off on a high note. He did all his own rhyme writing, he sounds great on here and proves how versatile he is on the mic, and as for the music and beats this is amazing. People who say that The Chronic is the defining west coast rap G Funk album are mistaken in my mind, after hearing the majority of the songs on here (especially "Eternal E" which has a better instrumental arrangement than almost every song on the Chronic). I'm not trying to beat up on Dr. Dre or that album, but the difference is that this album by Eazy has major staying power and playback ability and over time, at least for me, the Chronic was good but sounded dated over time and Dre never had the charisma Eazy had but that's ok because he was god at what he did. The lyrics are really gangsta but again, Eazy is kind of playful and has a sense of humor and tries to show you the light on the end of the tunnel even while he's describing the horror around you while you get there. Bottom Line: This is just as much a must own as Eazy Duz It for different reasons so fans of Eazy E, NWA, WEst Coast Gangsta rap, you need to pick this up
