I was and still am a huge fan of the first two shooting games, but when I heard that the next Star Fox game would take place OUTSIDE of the cockpit, I was to say the least dissapointed and was convinced that it would suck. Until one of my best friends convinced me to play this game.Whoa, was I so wrong.First off, the graphics. I'm a strong believer that graphics aren't the most important part of a game, but when I saw this title my jaw dropped open. Anyone who says Gamecube games can't compare graphically to other consoles needs to see this game. When the camera swings around Fox, you can see and almost count individual strands of fur blowing in the breeze!!!and unlike many other graphically enhanced games, the story line, the levels, and everything about this game are top notch. The voice acting is well done, and Fox's character is just so cool. And while this game may not be super mature action oriented, it is still probably the most fun I've ever had in a game, and brought a smile to my face on several occasions.This is a must have game for all gamecube owners, paws down.

I don't have the game but I rented it. I was blown away by the graphics and sound quality(cudos to the makers:P) The story line makes sense, unlike some other games I've played. It puts you right in the action and makes you hold you breath when you turn the corner. Its definatley for everyone. It may not be a shoot 'em up game where you see somebody and they're dead but I still was grinning the whole time. If you want a new, original, out of your mind graphic and storyline game. This is for YOU!!!!

I think people only don't like it because it's more like a Zelda game than a Star Fox game (yet they love the Dark Knight series when it doesn't have the feel and style of a Batman movie) but I played through this game like 50 times. And of course this not only introduces Krystal, my third favorite furry, into the series (who is actually playable at the beginning), but also has the final defeat of... well I wouldn't want to give anything away now would I?One thing I noticed is the unique style of the bosses. Galdon has a straightforward battle arena but you have to get him to eat you and attack him from the inside (he even looks like the bug from Men in Black), the second boss is just a death race with common SharpClaws, the third boss is in like a square hallway, and the fourth boss you fight standing on a platform in a lava hallway. Not saying anything on the final boss of course... Another thing I noticed was that unlike in games like Zelda, it doesn't have the screen fade to black when you enter a new area, the screen stays active the entire way when you, say, go from ThornTail Hollow to Moon Mountain Pass and enter the Volcano Force Point Temple.On a side note, the regular Battle theme sounds like the Terminator if it goes on long enough. And the Dragon Rock theme has a bit of a Dragonball Z vibe to it (referring to the first 53 episodes as dubbed by Ocean).

This is the second one I ordered, the first one was advertised as Very Good Condition while it was not even Acceptable Condition. It was so badly scratched, it wouldn't play. After returning that one, I picked this one and it is in mint condition! Couldn't believe how well they took care of it.I will never understand why this game was considered a flop, it is my favourite GameCube game of all time. Haven't played in over 10 years, so enjoying it.
