CoolMeds Classic 2-8°C Case for Transporting Temperature Sensitive Medicine, with Cold Packs Included

Bought to carry my Embrel injections inflight. Used it once already, the bag is quite compact and fit in my travel bag, however, once the cold packs are inserted, the space is quite a tight fit for the injection pens. The best feature for me was the outside thermometer, brilliant to check every now and then if you are a bit paranoid like me. The inner temperature stayed below 8 for at least 12 hours, and it passed airport security without problems (I actually forgot to mention it completely!) Update to advise that if you pass it through airport security, you must take it out of your bag and tell them in advance. At Stansted airport I forgot to tell them and a security alert was put out because the thermometer wires look very suspicious on the screen. My saving grace was that a member of security googled the brand and recognised the ‘device’. I gave them a bit of a fright…

This is a great product. Keeps meds cool for at least 12 hours, which comes in handy for travelling as it will make it through most journeys. It also comes with a hotel card to keep the electricity running (it works). Just make sure you take out the ice packs an hour before putting them in, and ensure the temperature is stable above 0 Celsius, before storing the pens. The only fault is that some bigger pens will not fit easily, but the elastic bands can be stretched enough. Definitely would buy it again.

Compact and does the job. On longer flights airlines were happy to put it in their fridge. Have never been queried during hand luggage security. (Always take a letter from Dr with me explaining what i'm carrying)

As advertised, it does hold the temperature below 8 degrees for an extended period of time. In fact, on one occasion during our recent travels I placed the bag in the hotel fridge after 12 hours of travel and the temperature remained at around 3-4 degrees for more than 48 hours. My particular medical problem requires an injection every 3-4 days and I was able to travel for 2 weeks safely. Having the temperature gage on the outside and not having to open the bag to check the temperature is a huge plus. The gage and wiring did not cause a problem at several security points (as mentioned in another review). I found it was important to experiment with the buffer pads before travelling as the temperature can vary according to the ambient temperature. A great product that allows me to confidently travel away from home.

Struggled throw passport and baggage. It had to be taken away to check the batteries the injection everything. I'll not take it again. I'm.on biologic therapy for Ruematoid Arthritus weekly injection. Kept at low temp .10 hr flight to Orlando. ☹️ended up not doing my injection as I don't know if it had been tampered with when it was searched at Airport. Was expensive chill bag but waste of time.

I was recommended this pouch by the medical department for the injections that I’m using. I must admit, it does wonders. Used for the first time for an electric meter change. I was gonna lose electric at least for a few hrs and it was absolutely amazing. This only means it’ll do its job on a long journey as well.

Great product. Have read couple of bad reviews but to be fair you must read instructions regarding how to freeze packs correctly and also how to set up before you intend to travel. I initially had issues but contacted supplier who were very helpful. Would advise setting up with empty med pens prior to using so you know just what works for you. Travelled to Canada so long periods out of fridge and this done the business for sure.

This product seems very good & love the external temperature indicator. Small size Ok for 4 small pen injections but to small for my Humira injections particularly as I needed to take six. Shame there isn’t a bigger size, however would do for weekend
