Fluke 101 Pocket Digital Multimeter

Excellent basic meter from Fluke for India at most reasonable price. CAT III 600volt safety. Measures AC/DC V,‎Ω,μF,Hz & duty cycle, Continuity & diode check . Box says 1000'F but Fluke website says measures upto 100 'F . I measured a 470 'F capacitor with it correctly, so I think website is mistaken about this. Tiny & cute, accurate , fast auto-ranging , lovely feeling selector knob and build very strong, ideal for my tools carry-bag . Doesn't measure amps , I don't need that . Came in Fluke India factory sealed package with warranty , calibration-certificate , great quality Fluke TL75 leads , even fitted with energizer battery. Amazon delivery was 2 days .

Work on User friendly

So far positive experience. (Owned/used over a month)I had some experience working with cheaper ones long back, and have also seen once in a while costlier versions of Fluke. This one (Fluke 101) is the most basic model of Fluke - yet as expected - it gives accurate result repeatedly.Minor inconvenience - the sockets being at the bottom unlike at lower front face, thus making it difficult for placing on ledge. The leads could have been better.

Fluke is good quality brand. Except current most other measurements available.

This is a limited function multimeter - nice for the odd job at home ( not for a professional ). Mostly i need to check connections ( beep function ) or check voltage, which this does. It also has a hold function to hold readings which is handy sometimes.It also has resistance/capacitance, frequency measurement(for your inverter maybe), etc. Havent checked the capacitance or resistance, so cannot comment about those. This does not measure current.The probes connect to the bottom surface and not the front. Its compact but relatively ( compared to chinese stuff ) heavy - has a solid feel to it.It does not come with the strap - so be mindful of that. But you can attach a strap to it if needed. I normally attach multimeter to my wrist with a silicone band when i cannot put it on a surface - that way my hands are free.Quite useful for odd jobs around the house.

Pros: Clean, non-cluttered interfaceAll features seem to work well.Has a solid feel to it.Nice large digits.2 x AAA batteries (Duracell pre-installed).Leads from my old multimeter also work with this device - so now I have two pairs of leads :)Cons:No Amp measurement - which explains why there are only 2 sockets for the leads.No standNo calibration certificateNo usage guide ( I did not need it but just mentioning).A document that looks like a certificate was included. When I read it; it turned out to be the procedure on how to obtain calibration certificate.I thought the thick booklet included in the box was user manual but turned to be the product specifications written in 100 different languages.For the features offered, it is quite pricey. Hopefully, it is accurate and will last long. The cover that you see in the attached photo is the battery cover and not the stand.
