You can hear when you tap it that it is not plastic, you can tell with the grooves still visible after being cut and buffed that it is a natural material and not synthetic. Don't believe what everyone is saying buy one, look at it for yourself. Like really look at it and decide for yourself. It's a great price for real Buffalo horn Gua Sha!
