sturdy, handle blackout curtains well
I used this curtain rod for big blackout curtains that I had to put on over blinds, and could not just use a regular curtain rod. Easy to install as long as you have a carpenter around with the correct tools.

It’s functional but just okay
The overall look is fine, I like the wrap around style and the color. It has several scratches on it so that was kind of a bummer and the brackets were crooked. Luckily you don’t see that too much once the curtains are on. My biggest gripe is the plastic extender ring. It’s super conspicuous- just this big white plastic piece that’s visible when the curtains are open. It should have been painted or something because it looks cheap. (I mean in the grand scheme it is cheap but I didn’t want to advertise that.) It also snags on the curtains so I can’t glide the curtain across I have to yank it and work it over each pleat. So this was one of those projects where I ordered it and then let it sit for months so the return period passed before I even opened it. That’s on me but I likely would have returned it otherwise.

Priced high, but rod feels cheap
I guess in comparison to nicer looking curtain rods, this one was cheaper, so I should’ve expected a lower quality. But for $30, I sort of expected better quality and design. First, it took a really long time to arrive — which I can understand under present circumstances. But when it arrived, the box was damaged (opened on one end), and the rod had a dent in it. It didn’t ruin it structurally, but I would have preferred a $30 curtain rod to be better packaged as to avoid damage. The rod is typical of the costume jewelry fake gold color, but it’s subtle enough that I don’t mind using it. Nothing in my room is genuine gold, so it doesn’t stick out. However, in the pictures, it did look more like a glossy metallic finish, but it’s more of a matte finish, which makes it look cheaper. I went ahead and put this up anyway, though it wasn’t exactly what I imagined, and I’m not even in love with the design of this thing. The curtain rod is in 3 separate pieces — the straight rod & the two end wrap arounds. These three pieces are joined by a plastic piece (which is visibly white plastic and not the same color as the rod). The ends of the wraparound rods are joined to a plate that you have to put a tiny screw into. The way it’s designed, this tiny screw either ends up going into the bottom or top (I’m not sure which is intended, but I regrettably have it on the top). The two end plates have two screws at the top and bottom to join it to the wall. I am 5 foot, and used a step ladder to put this up, and found it difficult to put in the tiny screws to secure the rod. While assembly is mostly obvious, it’s an annoying design. Finally, the worst part of this is that there is no way to lock the straight rod piece so it doesn’t slide around. I wish there were a way that you could twist it so it holds it in place. I can foresee having issues with it moving when I try to open/close my curtains. One thing to note is that where the white piece adjoins the two rods appears bent if it’s visible. Looks fine when hidden below the curtains, but considering how easy it is for the rod to move while opening/closing curtains, I’m sure it’ll be an issue.Overall, I’m not in love with this curtain rod. It’s sort of drab with the matte finish, and doesn’t really accomplish the look I was aiming for. It’s a step up from the cheap rod I had before, but doesn’t really stand out, and seems pointless. I could have just bought a cheaper rod for the same thing. It’s fine for now, but I definitely wouldn’t buy this again, and I don’t foresee it being a permanent addition to my room.

Looks great
These are super attractive and expensive looking. I like how clean and simple the design is. The only downside for me is that it is difficult to install the little screws that attach the rod to the brackets and they are super tiny. I bought 6 of these curtain rods and I lost two screws during the installation process because they are so tiny and short that they are hard to handle while screwing them in to make the rod secure. I wish the rods had come an extra screw to account for losing them so they're so small, or their heads were a bit bigger so they'd be easier to hold. But other than that I'm very happy with these curtain rods and I think they look great.

Nice cirtain rod, solid and sturdy
I needed something for a curtain in my bay window for every day "pretty" and to be able to draw curtains across at holiday time, as I have cellular shades on each window pane but for holidays I wants to leave them open when the window is decorated. As 95% of the year the curtains will be at the side i wanted a bar that gave as much space for the curtain to sit on as possible so the wrap around ends are perfect. There is a set screw on the ends so you can easily take the bar down if you got it up there level. I actually messed something up a bit and one end doesn't want to come off but I can get the curtain on and off easily. The instructions show end brackets with circular ends so there's no vertical/ horizontal issues. There is a rectangle on these. I am sure it's supposed to go vertically for leverage but if I did that the curtains wouldn't reach the floor as I want them too. They don't come longer so I decided since these aren't heavy and won't be moved usually I'll put it horizontally. I don't even think I need the middle support but I figured I should, my span is 100 inches. It feels nice and solid, the bar has a nice thickness to it. It doesn't even wobble as I slide the curtain across. The recommended drill bit is too small, I almost ruined the anchors trying to tap them in. I went up 2 more bit sizes. Then it went in so easily I was worried about grip but it's perfect. Since I was not looking for function, but only looks, in the curtains I know my 2 panels aren't full enough if I was drawing them nightly but since I want maximum viewing and will use my shades for privacy it's fine. I wish it was $10 cheaper like a bronze one I was looking at but for this quality I can't complain . I have no doubt it'll hold 2 more curtains without a problem if I get them. I also think it looks sleeker with the bracket horizontally. I recommend this and is buy another in a heartbeat if I needed it.
