Amazing performance.
Awesome. It has an amazing performance. Battery doesn’t last 2 days on a decent temperature. But considering is very hot outside now. It is perfect. It fitted 24 beers , 12 cokes , 24 water bottles and still have room

Bulky but works great
A bit bulky and heavy but works perfectly. I got a second battery and charge is lasting 4+ days as rates.

Awesome Cooler
I really like this cooler. Anker makes quality products. I just ordered the 2nd battery. If you buy this cooler you won't be disappointed.

Love this thing
I would give 5 stars but the app leaves some to be desired. The fridge itself works amazing. I have taken it on a couple three day road trips and not even had a hiccup. It keeps things super cold and as long as you load it with cold food it is super good on battery life.

Big let down.
Worked great 3 months then one of the batteries stopped charging. Product lasted long enough for return window to close.

Initial tests look promising
Important edit: dropping this from five to two stars, and will actually be contacting customer service. I wanted to verify the device’s temps so I installed a Govee temp sensor. With the Everfrost 2 set at 34F, and telling me that it’s at 33F, the actual temp was 42F. After 12 hours of letting the sensor collect data, it never dropped below 39F. Verified with an IR thermometer that it is in fact 41F at the bottom of the cooler, while the app is telling me it’s 33F. If it was less than 5 degrees of difference, I’d be upset but not all that worried. But for the device to be nearly 10 degrees off is unacceptable. Side note: the battery life is still crushing it. I’m at 110 hours on the second test and the second battery still has 25% left. Obviously this would be less if the cooler was staying as cold as I actually set it, but still, 40-42 degrees for multiple days is promising. So far, so good. To hit all the review buzzwords first: the portability is fine - it's obviously heavier than a comparably sized empty cooler, but compared to a cooler full of ice, it's not a huge difference. Cooling performance is fast and steady. The batteries come at 88% - I charged the first one to 100%, ran it down to 3% on a test, and now I've got the second battery included in the second test. I can't speak to durability or value yet - time will tell, but first impressions are that this thing is pretty nice, with a few design tweaks I'll call out below. Initial unboxing: everything looks great, is packaged well, and seems like a nice piece of equipment. First test: the 40L + battery kit ships with a single battery, with the second coming later in its own shipment. The battery comes at 88%. I initially thought it was dead, but realized it's not a standalone battery - it only powers on when it's in the cooler. Once it's powered on you can add the cooler to the app, which is a smooth process (I already had the app setup because I have a Solix 300W DC). Once I had the device added, I set the temp to 35F on Max cool while it was plugged up to charge via the wall outlet. I lost track of time and don't know how long it took, but at 70ish minutes later, it was fully charged and down to 34F. Even though I set it to 35F, it stayed at 34F for the whole test. I turned the screen brightness down to LOW, set cooling mode to ECO, and unplugged it then started a timer on my phone. The cooler was in the garage for the test - ambient temps ranged from 40F at night up to 74F during the day; cloudy outside, no direct sunlight on the cooler at all, cooler was empty, and never opened. The battery made it 43H 34MIN before the app notified me that the battery was less than 10% and needed charged. I checked and the cooler was at 4%, but temp was still being maintained. That's roughly 2% battery loss per hour. By the time that test finished, the second battery had shown up. I had no way to charge it until the first test finished, so once I could, I used my Anker Solix 300DC pack to see how well it would work using the DC car charging cable that came with the cooler. I was pleasantly surprised to see that a small 300W charger cranked out 104-106W of charging power and took the main cooler battery from 4% to 100%, then the other battery from 88% to 100%, in about 1h 25min. Second test: this time, I added some drinks. Nothing crazy, it's probably 50% empty still. I added regular bottles of water, and some miniature juices. Basically looking to see how this thing would do if we wanted to go out hiking or to the park and just needed to keep drinks cold without wanting to buy a bag of ice. The drinks were already cold, pulled straight from a 36F fridge and put into the cooler. With both batteries full, and taking no break between depleting the first one and charging both up (which creates a very noticeable amount of heat beneath the screen, hot enough for you to feel as you interact with the buttons), I set the cooler to 34F, left it on ECO mode, and started a new timer. So far, it's been 15H 40MIN and the left battery is down to 77% with the right battery still at 100%. If I look at the main app page where it shows all of my devices, it says the battery level is 88%, so it's showing an average of the two combined (and, technically, rounding down). That puts the loss rate at about 1.5% per hour, so a bit better than the first test, so far...but this test started in the late afternoon, so this is currently based on ambient temps all at sub-60F. I'll update this with battery loss per hour as time goes on and I do more tests in different ambient temps, but so far, as a spring-time cooler, this thing will last about a single weekend on a single battery, with zero additional charging. I have an Anker 100W solar panel which I plan to use to charge this and see how it maintains the battery while the cooler is running. That said, assuming you have a power source, even as small as a 300W bank, you can charge the battery back to 100% in less than two hours and get yourself another 40+ hours of cooling time. Or, of course, start out with both batteries, and you should expect to have 5-6 days of cooling time from the jump. Design positives: the handle/table is awesome. It's really sturdy as a side table, and is actually a fantastic cooler handle. I rolled around the garage and it felt natural and didn't bump my legs at all. Design tweaks I'd make: the battery cover has two little popout tabs so you can access the USB ports without taking the whole cover off. The tabs are difficult to use if you're like me and bite your nails. I actually had to grab a nearby pair of scissors to get one open. It'd be nice if these had some kind of intentional lip, or a tab you can grab, for nail biters or people with dexterity issues. Also, there is a rubber plug/gasket that goes over the charging ports. The gasket is designed so it's not removable, but instead of falling down and out of the way, you ahve to hold it up as you insert whatever charging cable you're using. I'm sure there's a logical explanation here, but in my head, it would make more sense to make the rubber "arms" longer so the thing would just hang down and not require any human intervention to keep it out of the way. Overall, it's looking like a great buy, so far. I'm looking forward to not just more tests, but getting it out in the woods and on the beach to see how it really performs...all of which I'll share here as I get the data.

Good performance, just Bluetooth need improvement
it's great for the batteries last for over 2 days when I set the eco mode at 3°. One thing would like to improve is the Bluetooth, always need to restart the fridge instead of pressing the Bluetooth button to connect, it's a little bit inconvenient. Otherwise, all is good performance. Recommend

Worth the expense.
I, like many, was on the fence between quality cooler or fridge. I have two pelican coolers and they work well up to 5 days but my camping trips got up to 15 days last yr and this yr over 30 days so another solution was needed. I'm a gearhead and the tech behind the Anker sold me. Got it on some discount deal and it made it more attractive. My key take aways. 1. Buy the extra battery. It gives you more time to recharge esp. if limited to solar. 2. Buy a back up portable power station to give you at least 2 full charges. That will get you to 6-8 days without needing to drive or solar. 3. 40 ltr imo is enough for one person for up to 15 days 4. I still use a cooler for the drinks and limit the cooler to food. But I must admit it is excellent for drinks. Smaller footprint etc. but I just like having a cooler as a backup.

Well engineered portable travel cooler by Anker
I purchased the Anker EverFrost 2 40L with dual batteries during the spring sale after considering a portable battery-powered cooler for a couple of years. I already own several Anker batteries and chargers, and I’ve always appreciated their build quality and engineering, which gave me confidence in this purchase. After researching the EverFrost 2, I found it to be one of the more advanced options available, with strong engineering, thoughtful design, and very positive customer support reviews. One thing to note is that the second battery ships separately through UPS, but only one tracking number is initially provided. I contacted customer support, and they quickly reassured me the second battery had shipped and provided the additional tracking number. The battery arrived a few days after the cooler itself. So far, the experience has been excellent, and setup with the phone app was quick and simple. I plan to use it later this summer for road trips and camping trips with my son and his trailer, likely as a freezer since it offers more storage space than the trailer’s mini fridge freezer section. Overall, I would recommend this cooler to others. It is one of the more expensive units available, but the quality, engineering, and customer service make it feel worth the investment.
