Two rings failed, but RingConn ultimately stood behind the product
I am revising my original review because RingConn ultimately provided me with a second replacement ring, even though my original warranty period had already expired. I purchased my RingConn in February 2025. Within the first year, the original ring developed a serious battery issue and would discharge within approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. After troubleshooting with RingConn support, they replaced it with a brand-new ring. Unfortunately, that replacement later developed essentially the same problem. Once removed from the charger, it would discharge within a few hours and die. At that point, I was understandably very frustrated. Two separate rings had failed, including the brand-new warranty replacement, and I no longer had much confidence in the hardware reliability. However, I want to give RingConn credit for how they ultimately handled it. Even though they initially told me the order was outside the refund period and warranty, after reviewing the repeated battery failure they agreed to send me another new replacement ring at no cost. So my experience has been mixed. When the product works, I genuinely like it. The app UI is excellent, the tracking and data are useful, and the overall functionality is very well designed. It is one of the better wearable experiences I have used from a software standpoint. My concern remains long-term hardware reliability. Having two rings develop similar battery failures is difficult to ignore. At the same time, RingConn did ultimately stand behind the product and replaced the second failed unit even though the original warranty had expired, which I think is worth acknowledging. I am now using the second replacement and will update this review again if anything changes. Excellent software and functionality. Questionable hardware reliability in my experience, but very good customer support in ultimately resolving the issue.

Love it way more than my Whoop
I switched from a Whoop, in part because it still wasn't totally comfortable sleeping with it on, and because the annual subscription was so expensive... I was originally waiting for the Ringconn Gen 3 to come out, but then I lost my Whoop charger on a plane, so I ended up grabbing the Gen 2... So happy I did! I may upgrade later, but honestly, the Ringconn Gen 2 is ticking all my boxes so far. It's super comfortable to wear, I normally wear it on my middle finger of my right hand (I'm left handed) but it also fits perfectly on my index finger, so I can switch it over if I get that soft soggy white ring rash, and just wear it for a few days on the other finger. The battery life is great, I just got into a routine of charging it on a Sunday afternoon while I'm chilling, and it only takes an hour or so to fully charge. It still has a few days charge left if I'm busy and don't get to do it on a Sunday, but I like the routine. I wear an Apple Watch Ultra for most of my fitness tracking, but the Rigconn actually picks up those short duration activities that the Apple Watch doesn't... spend 20-30 mins mixing and laying concrete or doing yard work, and Ringconn picks it up, while the Apple Watch typically won't. I also like that it's measuring the morning light exposure during the first hour after wake up... this one surprised me, but it's actually using it's sensors to detect the intensity and color of the light after you wake up... getting natural sunlight after you wake up helps depress melatonin production and improves wakefulness... it gives you a running measure of your wake up light exposure and differentiates between natural and artificial light! The app seems to be constantly improving. This was the one perceived weakness with Ringconn, but I can honestly say that I have seen clear signs that they are actively developing the app in the right direction, and also that they have been extremely responsive to user feedback... the responses to questions and feedback have been way more than canned or AI generated replies, they truly seem to welcome and respond to feedback. I love the no subscription model, and that they openly share data with Apple Health so it drives other apps as well if I want more specialized focus, but honestly, I think they are quietly building out their app in all the right areas, and I'm loving the platform. I have friends with other devices, and the Ringconn seems generally more compact and wearable than most I've seen. I'm so glad I switched, and I won't feel bad if I invest later in the Gen 3, but I don't feel like I'm missing anything now, so it will be because it offers something else I want, not because it fixes a gap in the current iteration!

No Subscription Required, But a New Update Removed All Functionality from the device.
Edit: Beware- Do Not Waste your Money! I ended up liking this device more than I first suspected. I got used to using the rings and found the sleep and other data easy to understand and correlate. I had decided to edit my review and give it 5 stars, despite the difficulties with the ring not accommodating my wheelchair use. That is, until yesterday. For some reason, the developers released an update that removed everything I loved about the device and replaced it with nothing useful. You can no longer tell when you were asleep or awake; there are no sleep-stage data graphs, and the graphic representation of movement disappeared as well. The smart ring became stupid with the speed of an update. I've sent feedback to the developer, but I don't expect a reasonable reply. I don't know why they removed all functionality from what was an excellent smart ring with easy-to-understand graphs and no subscription fees. As far as I can tell, they haven't added a subscription fee yet, but they've trashed the usefulness of a good device and replaced it with nothing. I wouldn't recommend this smart ring to anyone as it is currently non-functional. Hopefully, enough people will provide feedback, and the developers will consider returning the ring’s original functions and graphs. Pros I like the fit, color, and look of this smart ring. I did order the sizing kit. I suggest that anyone contemplating purchasing this ring try on the different sizes. I would have ordered the wrong size had I not tried the sizing kit first. It's more comfortable than I had expected. I am not used to wearing rings, and I expected it to be bulky and annoying, but a few hours after putting it on, I forgot it was there. I really like that there’s no subscription. The ring does an adequate job of monitoring sleep, heart rate, O2, and most other measurements. The battery life appears to be as advertised, which is a plus. I've found that most electronic devices advertise longer battery life than my experience shows, so it's refreshing to see that the developers of this device were honest in their advertising. I appreciate this, as I rarely encounter it in practice. Cons However, it has difficulty deciding how to categorize exercise. I am disabled and wheelchair bound. Apparently, there is no way to inform the program of this fact, which has it misunderstand my activity level. I would like to see an option added to the programming to accommodate people with physical disabilities, including those who use mobility devices such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. The most annoying thing about the app, however, is that the date is off by 1 day. I want a way to manually set the date, since it doesn't automatically adjust to the correct date. Another thing that slightly bothers me is that the sleep reports aren't as detailed as those from an Apple Watch or a Fitbit. I assume that’s because there's no subscription, but I could be wrong. Overall, there would need to be significant changes to earn more stars in my review. I haven't tried other smart rings, except for an inexpensive one I purchased some time ago that had a very short battery life and wasn't comparable to today’s smart rings. If the developers fixed the few issues I had with this ring, I would recommend it without reservation. But since I haven't tested it against the competition, I can say it's worth looking into for now. The time between charges is impressive, and it does have the benefit of no subscription fee. These two things alone make it worth looking into.

Do it! You won’t regret it.
I wasn’t sure whether I was going to like wearing a Smart Ring, but I have found that I love it. It does take a few days of getting used to it on my finger. The insights provided are fantastic and without a subscription fee. Cost is reasonable for what you get. I had also looked at the Oura, but between the higher price and subscription fee, RingConn made even more sense. As an example, I knew that I probably wasn’t getting enough sleep and was slightly sleep deprived. RingConn shows me exactly how much sleep I’m getting each night, plus the quality of sleep. This incites me to go to bed a bit earlier and relax before I get to bed. I also like the other metrics, such as vitals and activity. The app is super easy to use and provides a lot of data without overwhelming me. I chose the Gen 2 over the Gen 3 because it’s smaller. I think that I wouldn’t have been as happy with the Gen 3 just because of the size, plus I don’t need the Gen 3 alerts.

100% AMAZING!!!!! (Both Ring and Customer Service)
Have you ever had a problem with something you bought ONE MONTH after the warranty expired? Have you even been BLOWN AWAY by the Amazing Customer Service for the product when they say, "No problem, we'll send you a replacement." This is EXACTLY what RingConn did for me and I wish I could give them 10 stars instead of just 5. Let's face it, $300 (at the time) was very expensive for me but I suffer from Chronic Fatigue and I need to track how much I sleep in a day. RingConn (Gen 2) was the best I could find and I loved that they last for up to 12 days between charging. After 12 1/2 months of using the ring, I noticed that I had to charge it more often until it got so bad that it didn't last a full day after charging it to 100%. Needless to say, the battery was dying and these things happen so I'm not blaming this on the quality of their products. Because it was past the warranty, I didn't have much hope, but after a quick call to their Customer Service Department and a ticket sent to their support team, I received an email saying they would be happy to replace it for me. I love the ring and I think it's the best on the market (although they do have a newer Gen 3 model). The ring itself gets 5 stars and the Customer Service gets another 5 stars!

I like my ring!
I got my ringconn and within 3 months I had some issues with the battery not holding up. But contacted them through the customer service on their app. They send me a brand new one. Had no issue ever since. I like the accuracy of the health tracking and love the features and info you get especially tracking my period. Overall great product. Got some scratches but seems normal like any other ring honestly. I wear it everyday!

Good for about a year
I bought this ring 5/30/25 so a basically a year ago. I wanted it to track my sleep as I don’t sleep with my Apple Watch on. It does a fine job of doing that but everything else is off. At first you had to manually put in the exercises and the duration of the exercise you were doing, but with an upgrade, they added the auto track feature, but with the auto track feature it drains the battery faster. What I am noticing now over the last month, is that the battery pretty much drained days or less. I charged it to 100% and then put it on right before bed when I woke up, it was down to 51%. So everyone that’s reporting that the battery overtime doesn’t hold a charge that would be correct because there’s no reason why seven hours of sleep drained the battery from 100% to 51%. And I had taken off the auto track features because I figured that’s what was draining the battery. It sucks because like I said, I haven’t even had them for a full complete year 10 day shy of a year and I noticed the battery issue about a month ago. Which means I’m on the hunt for another ring and I’m not quite sure if I’m gonna spend the money on one of the pricier rings like this one because the battery should last longer than a year. Also, when it came to like tracking the steps, it was not accurate compared to my Apple Watch and even the exercises were accurate as well. And it doesn’t integrate into Apple either.

Exactly what I wanted, has exceeded my expectations
I've had a RingConn Gen 2 for almost a year now, and it is exactly what I was looking for in a fitness tracker. My old Fitbit died, and I needed something to replace it, but all of the new models are too large for my tastes. I really don't love wearing something on my wrist, so I was fascinated by the fitness rings, but I didn't want to pay a monthly subscription fee on top of the pricey tech itself just to use it. That's how I found RingConn; buy the ring, and that one time cost is all you pay, no subscription needed. I am not an elite athlete by any means. If you need extremely precise constant feedback to monitor everything with peak accuracy, then this is probably not for you. If you want something to give you a very good readout of your various health and fitness metrics (steps, sleep, heart rate, oxygen saturation, other vitals, etc) to show you how you're doing and to keep you on track, then RingConn should work just fine. It can also monitor for sleep apnea, but I do not use that particular feature, so I can't speak to it. Previously, the only down side was that it could not auto detect your workouts, but a recent firmware update (September 2025) fixed that and it works well, at least for walking; I can't speak to any other activities. Definitely use the sizing kit; my RingConn is a full size larger than my typical ring size, but it is very comfortable. Wear the sizer you think you need for a few days to make sure the thickness of the ring won't bother you. The extra thickness takes a few days to get accustomed to, but now I don't even notice it. I prefer to wear it on my middle finger rather than my index finger, and it still works great. My skin tends to react badly to cheap metal, and I am unable to wear costume jewelry of any kind without having some sort of skin reaction, but I have had zero issues with the the titanium Gen 2, and I wear it every single day. It is waterproof, so you can wash your hands with it on, though I do personally remove it to shower or wash dishes. The battery also lasts about 10 days for me (I only use "persistent connection" mode when exercising), and the charging case lasts for multiple charges. I think I've only charged the case twice in the almost year I have owned the ring. The ring can store about 24 hours worth of data at a time, so you will want to connect to the app at least once a day to ensure that you get of the information. I try to connect at least twice a day: when I wake up and before bed. Each "data download" from the ring typically takes less than 10 seconds, so it's very quick. The RingConn Gen 2 has far exceeded my expectations, and I would not hesitate to buy another one!
