Q: Are these leached to reduce alkaloid content, or do they rely solely on choice of cultivar? Is there any quality control for alkaloid content?

These appear to be from France so I suspect they are leached. The sweeter lupin cultivar comes from Australia. I hope the company can answer you better.

I have used the flakes as a breading for chicken nuggets. I then bake the the nuggets. So I guess I cook them
