Festool 574935 CT 36 E HEPA Dust Extractor

Works well, which is no surprise - it is a Festool. Not a killing amount of suction, but it is adequate for most purposes where I cannot use a 4" hose from my Oneida dust collector or when I am using a sander, a Kreg jig, a sliding miter saw, or a Festool track saw. Expensive, but it holds a lot of debris and I expect it to last - I still have the original Festool dust collector I bought with my track saw and MFT more than 12 years ago. I gave it a total rating of five stars because of its versatility and because I expect it to last.

We love Festool vacuums (we have 2) but beware that the Amazon description lists several things that “come in the box” that do not come in the box - the extension wands, round brush, dust nozzle and crevice tool.

Never thought I would spend this much on a vacuum but I can’t remember life before it. I’m not a huge festool fan but this thing is awesome.

Good for hand-tools, but doesn’t live up to the hype. I had a cobbled together cyclone / craftsman shop vac before this, and decided to upgrade to the Festool vacuum + integrated cyclone. It’s nice, but doesn’t live up to my high expectations. It is quieter than my other setup, but has substantially less suction power. Still gets clogged whenever I vacuum up plane shavings. I thought that on a higher-end system that I would be able to pick up occasional plane shavings, but it seems to get stuck in the intake port for the vacuum, just like my Craftsman. I need to be careful when cleaning up to use my dust collector instead when dealing with plane shavings.

Great: very good at cleaning and leaves zero dust. Perfect for sheetrock and concrete dust.Maybe: Buy a 2" hose from HD for larger debrit. Small hose that comes with it is amazing but it is not designed for larger stuff. Not what it was designed for so realistically, I have no complaints.

Portability aspect of the dust collector is great.Wheels glide smooth down hard surfaces. Turns smoothly. Variable suctioning allows me to adjust the suction power according to the application. Buying new from an authorized dealer gives you 3 year warranty. Well built hose. Power cord is heavy duty. Auto turn on for corded tools a plus. The ability to add Bluetooth is great.

If you do lots of sanding, care about your health, then their dust extractor is amazing. Oh and the noise level... my ears love it.

This is the best festool starter tool! I bought this for my husband as a birthday gift! This dust extractor fits all the tools that make a mess, such as sanders, saws, and more. Allow me to let you in on a secret, it’s a win win for us both. Amazing product, great investment, it will last for years. When you buy good quality, over time it pays for itself.
