PURPFM100B Black Horizontal Faucet Mount with 1 Basic Filter

This new device needs to be screwed onto your faucet and none of the additional adapters fits. When asking for another adapter as advised, they tell you, they send them only to the US and Canada. Waste of money and time.

Have been using the product for almost 2 years, always changed the cartridges and it does the job. But now, out of the blue, a seal along the line where the two parts of the housing (one part is mounted to the faucet, the other one holds the filter cartridge, but it looks like one piece at first glance) are joined has failed and now water is spraying everywhere, directly out of the body. On top of that it's nothing I can do anything about as this seal is not something you can access and replace. It's simply the line where the two housing parts meet. Reply from the seller was "every product has its life" but for a filter that wasn't exactly cheap to simply start falling apart in places that are not even subject to any force or movement or any external impact, looks like a case of bad manufacturing. Not a problem if this is dealt with swiftly, but simply saying yeah well you have to buy a new one is not acceptable really. Two stars becuase product did the job before falling apart, other wise would have given one only.

I like how easy it was to install. I don't like to read much instructions and so it was quick and painless. I bought for a guy who is disabled and I help out and he is very haooy with the purchase. Has nice water flow and it's easy to switch to filtered water which I love so your not.wastimg your filter side when not needing to.

I've had a PUR faucet water filter for years. It really works at improving the taste of city water. The filter mechanism started leaking at its seams within the last year, which was very annoying and messy, as well as allowing some water to come out of the main faucet even with the filter handle turned on (this had nothing to do with the seal - believe me, I tested it).I found this PUR to replace it, since it was claimed that filters from the previous version would fit. They were correct: the filters I already own fit this PUR, which has saved me money and waste. It came with various handy adaptors, which I didn't need for this faucet, but I'm glad they were included. Installation was easier and it fit more tightly on my faucet than the previous PUR. So far, no seam leaks or water coming out of the main faucet while using the filter, although it sounds different than the older one (a bit noisier for some reason).I also like (on both versions) the filter life indicator light. As on the previous PUR I owned, if the indicator doesn't start working for a newly installed filter, you just open the PUR, pull out the filter and push the button inside, then reinstall the filter and close the PUR.As for longevity, I will update this review at a later date.

I had this same filter for 3+ years before the battery for the indicator light died and the unit started leaking. My taste buds all of a sudden became very sensitive to chloride and my aging back made it a pain to fill up gallon jugs at the water grocery store water dispenser. I compared the cost of water at the dispenser with the cost of PUR filters and it was well worth purchase price.When I needed a replacement I checked out other faucet-mount filters reviews and even though I saw several negative PUR reviews I decided to go for it again.The only problem I had was that someone obviously made a mistake in the warehouse and sent me a used unit. There was some lime deposits on it and even some water left inside, so I returned it and re-ordered, but cancelled that order when I found one locally.I imagine I'll continue to stick with the PUR filter when this one bites the dust.

Ich nutze diese Filter von Pur schon seit Jahren und war bisher zufrieden aber dieses Modell ist einfach nur schlecht.Das bezieht sich auf die Montage und Handhabung.Ein großer Pluspunkt war bisher das der Filter schwenkbar war.Das ist nun nicht mehr oder besser wenn man es versucht schraubt man den Adapter mit ab.So kann man den Filter nur in einer Position belassen und hängt dann im Weg.Echt schade!
