Great radar mount!
This mount has a superb design to allow several angles of adjustment for different windshield angles. Very large suction cup as well for secure mounting. I use it on an older Beltronics radar, but it fits a variety of other brand radars as well.

Fits Vector 940 Great and Holds Detector Level. Would Buy Again!
Overall, I am really enjoying this product. I have only had it for approximately 2 weeks, but I love this mount a lot better than the one that the detector comes with by factory.I had to tighten the screw on the side because it was loose and allowed for the radar detector to bounce or go to a different angle while I was driving, but after that, it has been great! The part that actually slides into the detector and the angle adjustment are great and hold the entire weight of the detector. My old factory mount wasn't sturdy enough to hold my detector straight just due to sheer weight.Suction cup works great! I pressed mine on their really hard and prepped it using the alcohol prep pad it came with. Works great. Hinge to suction is a little cheap, but it does what it needs to do and hasn't failed on me yet.Overall, great product and I would definitely buy it again. Seller had fast shipping and good packaging. No damages.

Great mount. Build quality exceeds that of the Escort/Passport sticky cup mount at a cheaper price.Notice the metal pin that runs thru the installation handle. Escort has cheap plastic clip that connects it tothe suction cup. Many of times I have had the Escort mounts explode leaving the suction cup, lever, and spring fly apart. This suction cup isn't tacky to the touch, but it does provide a strong suction to the windshield. Save your money and buy this one over the Escort mount. You will be happy you did.

Solid, secure, well made. Wish it could swivel left/right.
Sticks really well to the windshield. Comes with a little alcohol pad to wipe clean the windshield first, which is a nice touch. The detector fits onto the bracket very well. The whole thing, mount and detector, is now rock solid on the windshield, no bouncing around like the flimsy thing that came with my Escort Passport always did.The adjustments are limited to up/down, to match the angle of your windshield. It has no left/right swivel. I wanted to mount it in front of driver, but since my windshield curves, like most (all?) do, the detector would be pointing way off to the left side of the road (Left drive country). It would be nice if it had some sort of left/right swivel. So I am limited to mounting it to the center (left/right) of the windshield. I have it mounted low, to try and pickup laser, though I suppose that is wishful thinking (if they are far away, the beam size is larger, and my car is very small, vertical distance from headlights/license plate, the usual targets for laser, to the bottom of windshield is very small on this car, so plausible). As someone else mentioned, the up/down adjustment is done via serrated indents, where the angle is locked into steps of up/down adjustment. So its possible that one step will be pointing your detector too high, the next step pointing too low. In such a case, you can remove the flat metal bracket from the plastic it mates to, with two very small Philips screws, and give it a little bend in a vice. I bent it by hand, without taking the flat metal piece off, which was not easy as the metal is not thin, which worked, but also put a little bit of curve into the metal piece, so now detector is more difficult to slide on and off. So I don't recommend doing it by hand. I will remove it, use my vice to flatten it, then re-bend it.One pleasant and unexpected result is its now a much shorter reach across the dash to install and remove the detector each time I use it. The detector is now much farther from windshield, compared to the tiny, original mount that came with my detector. The photo shows the knurled knob which secures the up/down angle on the right side. The unit I received its on the left. Its just a bolt, so I imagine you could reverse it. It does have a square shank on the bolts head end, so that its captive and doesn't turn as you tighten the knob, so this would only work if both sides of the bracket have a mating square opening, which I have not investigated. But this is really no big deal, as you pretty much set it and forget it. Set it to the angle of your windshield, which you only need to do once.

That works great but they don't make a similar mount for my ...
I have a Beltronics STI Magnum radar detector. I use it with a Blendmount mirror mount powered through the mirror in my 2010 Corvette. That works great but they don't make a similar mount for my 2015 Cadillac XTS. The suction cup mount that came with the Beltronics detector just doesn't stay on the windshield. So I bought Arkon’s RDMET01 radar detector windshield mount. However, when I received it and tried to attach it to the windshield it wouldn't hold more than a minute or so. Looking at the suction cup I could see a blemish that I was pretty sure was preventing the cup from sealing. Thinking I was out the $14 I paid for it I took a shot and emailed Arkon's customer service. Sent them a photo of the cup and asked if they could do anything. I got a quick response and a promise to send me a new mount. Received it a few days later and it works perfectly. Every now and then any product can have a manufacturing flaw but when the manufacturer stands behind the product with that kind of no hassle replacement you have to give them credit. So any time I'm in the market for a product Arkon makes I will look to them first.

The build quality is great and the suction it provides is fantastic
The build quality is great and the suction it provides is fantastic. HOWEVER, my Escort 9500 rattles A LOT with this mount. In addition the auto brightness feature does not work with this mount as the mount casts a shadow over the sensor on the 9500. If i knew it would be like this I probably would have gotten the original style mount that came with the detector.

New suction for an old dashcam. Works!
Suction mount on my dashcam bit the dust. This is basically a bag of parts allows you to rebuild your suction mount. There wasn't a PERFECT fitting part for my dashcam but one that was "close enough" and with a little SuperGlue or JB Weld should hold it for another two years. By then I'll be getting a fancier newer dashcam anyway.
