5-Pin Extension Cable Wire

Good and necessary cables to extend to the start point for my deck lights. Good fit, length and quality. Just one point, it would be good if you could buy these individually, maybe you can now? I only needed two and now have 3 left!

I purchased this cable to extend my Decdeal solar fountain power cable. I was very pleased the seller put the connector dimensions on the ad. However, I didn't have anything but a ruler to check my cable connectors so I erred on the measurements and this cable isn't a proper match for the Decdeal cable. The two pin center barrel sections do match up fine. However, I misread the ruler on the threaded barrel/cap as they are about 1mm different. Wasn't worth trouble returning and the electrical connection works fine. I simple electrical taped the connectors together which with less than 12volts from the solar panel this will be fine. So, cable works great, pleased the seller put dimensions in the ad so I could find a proper cable, just make sure you measure accurately.

I used this to repair a broken wire pair on my pool salt chlorinator's flow sensor. I wanted to use a connector instead of splicing the broken wires so that I can easily connect and disconnect the flow sensor in the future. This connector seems to work well for this application. I simply spliced this connector into the wire at the existing break and screwed the two connector halves together to make the connection. The flow switch is located outside in the weather so the water proof connection was important. The build quality looks good to me and the connector seal looks to be water tight. If I have any water intrusion problems I will update my review.

The nuts are too large (note the gap in the photo) and do not screw into the lights. The other end fits my lights nut fine. I had to use liquid tape to hold it together and make it weather proof.

If you want to save money and connect the low voltage wire yourself with different tools, you won't need this. However, if you want to just plug and play the wires together and save time, then these will work perfectly. My stair lights use this type of connector and by purchasing these, I was able to save a lot of time with the manual method I would have needed to perform if I had gone that route. These worked perfectly.

Connections checked but lights still not installed. They in the too hard basket.

Don’t bother, just get better quality in the first instance with sufficient cabling. Buy these at your peril.

The item was good but the pin size did not meet my requirement

The rabbits chewed through my other cables. Had to buy more. They work well. Lesson learned. Tie up your cables. Nice and long when you need to bypass steps, and other obstacles.
