A great alternative to coffee
I like that this stuff is reminiscent of coffee without having to actually drink coffee. I was terribly addicted to coffee years ago and decided to quit cold turkey. It's been over 4 years since I drank coffee, but I still drink tea - this is some of the most enjoyable tea I've ever had. There's plenty of ways this can be consumed, but I personally like to add some organic cacao powder and some organic honey. I use 2 tablespoons to about 10oz of water and give it a steep time of 5 minutes. I add the honey and cacao after steeping.

I rarely write reviews but this Cascara was unusable
I've had Cascara from three different places and while different they each had their own good and distinct flavors in tea. This one though was undrinkable, it had very little flavor after being brewed and what flavor it did have was an almost musty taste. If I had to guess I would say it is just very old cascara and didn't deliver any of that cherry tartness flavor that a good recently dried cascara will give you. Also it's not allowed for returns so now I have a 1lb of cascara I'm just going to have to throw away.

Reletivly Inexpensive
Being as we live near Kona we 1st tried coffee berry tea from a local farm. This tea has more of a rasiny taste and is substantially less expensive.
