Not a good solution for punching heavy bags.
Bought these as a cheap solution for hitting a heavy bag at my gym. Base knuckles are protected, but middle and top knuckles are exposed and I lost some skin when hitting hard. I think it's good to bleed and toughen up, but after a week it was tough to keep punching hard because I kept ripping off the scabs. I ended up buying full boxing gloves to continue. For the price these are a great value. Hope this helps.

Don't last long but would still buy again at the price point
Had these for 4 months and they are coming apart at the fingers. I wear them 5-6 days out of the week for about an hour during MMA style workouts. I don't hit anything but the air. However they do stay on occasionally for some pushups and burpees (maybe that's a no no). I can't complain too loud because they are only $12 and I feel that I get pretty good bang for $12 even if they don't last long. I've spent $12 and got far less. I would and probably will buy them again when they fall apart completely.

This item took several weeks/well over a month to get here. Despite what the seller says in response to questions specifically about delays in shipping and the buyer actually receiving these it does in fact take too long. Top that off with the fact that only after I ordered and paid did I receive a note advising that these were out of stock and I was not happy. If I had known I would have bought another pair of gloves. Who has time to waste and then get the runaround? I finally received and am relatively happy. The foam protection appears to be excellent and well placed, and the coverage and firmness and stability seems above average. The outer is leather like and soft but not leather, which is fine for the price. I would suggest at least large or really xlarge especially if you plan on using any sort of wrap under these. And that is recommended especially since the wrist wrap is too short and circles the wrist only once. Wrist taping is recommended to protect wrists because the knuckle padding is very good but will lead you to strike harder while the wrist needs more stability than the wrap provides. Overall I would recommend. For the price and construction quality you won't find better. The finger holes are a bit small but the glove fits like a glove should, nice and snug. I may get another pair but only if these are in fact large; if so I will get x large, and my hands are not big meaty just normal sized. Wife says they are " little boy hands," but that is another story. About nine inches around the palm, FYI.

Watch your knuckles
These look awesome (I have the black X ray ones) and cover my long fingers well with an open palm and thumb so my hands don't get sweaty and I can still grab my water. My only issue is the fit across my knuckles, I have a more slender hand and it's loose there (and not adjustable) so uppercuts are very uncomfortable and my knuckles wind up bruised, for all other hits and purposes they're totally fine. They have a little more padding across the knuckles than I expected and a "new glove smell". All in all, a great deal for the price.

Great gloves!
First off, I'm female 5"10 and had been looking for some gloves for my high cardio kickboxing class. I really wanted half finger gloves so that I could easily transition from punching bags so weights or push ups without having to take them off all the time.My hands are probably a size large, but my husband who's 6'4 and has larger hands than I, is also able to wear them. The good: there's plenty of padding to hit the bags hard without hurting your knuckles. They're also super easy to put onTo be fair, this does not provide much protection for your wrists (they're not made to do so) so I would still wrap them so not to injure them.Other than that, they're pretty bad ass! I have had a lot of compliments on them, even though they're definitely not girly like most women in my class wear. Super versatile and after about a month and a half they're still holding up well. I don't anticipate these to last more than a year, but that's well worth it to me for the price!

Comfortable
I bought the white pair and i just love them!Super cute, Durable, and comfortable.Comfort is huge...there isnt any rubbed, itchy or pinched hands/fingers with these gloves!!! I used to have an expensive UFC pair that i used for years....but in a move, i lost them. I was worried I'd never find a pair that held the same standards as them without spending big bucks.Well, Cheerwing did not disappoint. For the few dollars i spent, definitely a great value for my money. Happy with my new gloves 100%. Fit true to size.

Hands bruised, too big for med/sm hands (females)
Customer service was good, so I added a star for that..I have large hands for a female and these hang over about half an inch. Even cinched down, the knuckle area is big. That may be why my knuckles bruised so fast. Picture shows my hand after about 20 minutes with a punching bag. Worse than what my hands look without gloves. The wrist area is adjustable and fits well. The padding seems adequate when it comes to actual impact.

Bloodied My Hands
So, I have a few sets of weighted gloves and a few sets of wraps. I recently got a new water weighted bag that definitely needed something in the middle so I thought these would be perfect. Not too heavy, not too soft kind of thing. Unfortunately they are a bit too loose for a real workout. 20 minutes in and I had to take them off because my fingers were bleeding. Cool design, seem durable, but they rub and aren’t good for smaller hands?
