Yes, it smells, Yes it is effective.
I am sad to see this product is longer available. (correction -GlutaGaurd is avail again!) Perhaps the company will reformat it so the smell is not as strong. I personally did not find it offensive. Clean Nutraceuticals makes a similar formula in liquid form (as a drops) called, Liver Fortress. I have Glutathione and Milk Thistle in my stack for vanity reasons (it clears and thickens my skin) and as a daily detox. The other ingredients were an unexpected pleasure and credit this product to missing out on seasonal colds this year. Despite feeling "under the weather a few times in the last 30 days," I managed to bounce back effortlessly within 24 hours. I need to find a replacement quick as I just got off a plane and have that "itchy throat and inner ear" feeling and am sad to see this product is unavailable.

Worth a try
I just received this product today. The smell is unbelievably offensive. It smells like strong diarrhea. However, my cats came running like I had just opened catnip. So maybe that is a good sign. Had to go research and learned the smell is so bad due to the sulfur molecule in glutathione. The more potent the concentration, the stronger the smell. The smell is intense so I'll try to slam it down quickly. Will update the review in a couple weeks. Update - it works great! Just swallow quickly.

Smells but Get over it
Yes, they do stink but get over it. It’s a super antioxidant with many health benefits. I’m never going to stop taking it. I do like to drink and the next day I feel like I haven’t even had anything to drink.

The smell is a feature, not a bug, but Glutathione is disappointing
I'm giving this a four star review even though I'm disappointed regarding Glutathione absorption.First, let's get this out of the way - IT SMELLS like fermented gym shorts.Actually, fermented cabbage. Why?Because one of the key ingredients, N-Acetyl Cysteine, is naturally derived from fermented cabbage. Now, on the surface, this is an amazing stack of all sorts of great for you goodies. Your experience may vary, I'm on my third bottle having integrated it into my daily supplement regime. You really can't go wrong with berberine, vitamin C and all the other goodies. So why am I disappointed?I recently found out that the ingredient I bought it for - GLUTATHIONE does not absorb in the digestive system for most people, including me. Disappointing, though no fault of the manufacturer.Glutathione works best trans dermally in a patch or a cream, or a spray dissolved under the tongue.I'm gonna keep taking it for now though, because even with the non absorption of Glutathione, it still replaces a half a dozen other horse pills and it's a lot of value for the buck.Hope it helps!

Complementary ingredients
It's good to have the combination of helpful ingredients in one capsule.

Smells upon opening the bottle, but does not taste bad.
I received these and wondered if I got a bad batch! Then I read reviews and discovered that it wasn't just mine that smelled bad. Apparently, it's some of the ingredients that smell and it's perfectly fine. They don't taste bad, so no worries. This supplement contains a collection of ingredients I had been taking separately. This is more convenient to have them all in one product. I will continue to use it despite the smell.A word to the company: a little warning note on the label would help the consumer understand the nature of the very obvious smell of this product.

Will update later
Holy f bombing schmidt. THE SMELL. I just took my first dose, but had to race here to read the reviews to make sure I wasn't about to poison myself with a contaminated batch.I just walked in the door with my dogs, sat down, opened the package while my dogs were behind me. It's 10 degrees farenheit out and I have a potty pad out for them just in case because they're not too keen on spending leisurely time outdoors- however, I did not expect after having them out for 20 minutes for an off leash session that they'd have a reason to use the pad.So here I am, opening my bottle, and within moments I am overwhelmed by an absolutely putrid smell. I didn't think my dogs had used the pad- I thought someone's intestine had burst open and some nasty mess had erupted somewhere on my floor. Immediately I looked back to inspect the room and all was clear, and the dogs were already occupied with their chew bones. I look down at the bottle in my hand and I wave the bottle a little bit and sure enough I can smell the aroma wafting. One of my dogs runs around anxiously looking for whatever she smelled and bee lines to my hand where she tries to shove her face into the bottle. I raise it towards my face and sure enough the offensive odor is definitely this supplement. The comments on here saying it smells like diarrhea- not wrong, that's why I was convinced someone's intestines had exploded. It is so foul.BUT- since these reviews confirm it's nasty smelling, I've taken my first dose, and I will come back here to update. Here's to the hope that it's a good experience.I saw a doctor talking about "...if drinking even the smallest amount of alcohol makes you sick" which has been my lifelong experience- meaning I almost always vomit after drinking as little as two drinks, especially wine, not just hard liquor, and even beer does it; we might have a PEMT gene mutation that makes it hard to metabolize alcohol. Which, as someone who has a definite MTHFR gene mutation and need all the help I can get to methylate and metabolize things out of my system, I decided to get this to see if it might help my body feel better. A couple of years ago I tried a glutathione spray, but I stopped it and I don't think I tracked whether it did anything for me.
