Uses two colors of ultraviolet light to attract flying insects. We had a problem with a few mosquitos getting into the house and then us getting bit while sleeping. Not good. These seem to work well, the sticky boards hold the insect. Problem seems to be solved. No noise is generated, but there is the blue light that can be a problem for sleepers that need full darkness to sleep well. These are ideal for the kitchen. The price was reasonable, and less than some competitors. Refills of sticky cards are available and cost about a dollar a card and should last a month or so. Quality is good, cards fit well. A five pack of sticky refill cards are provided, including two double sided sticky cards, and three single sided sticky cards. Presumably the double sided cards are for heavily infested areas, and single sided are for lightly infested areas. Overall, this seems like a good product. Recommended!

I received this product yesterday so I don’t know if it works or not yet. But, in the directions it states to remove the protective covering on both sides of the boards so the board has two sides of adhesive to catch gnats. I was able to remove both sides easily on the first board of 5. When trying to remove it on a 2nd and 3rd board as I have two traps, there was no protective sheet that could be removed from the non-printed side. I tried to catch an edge with my fingernail and what came up exposed cardboard and not adhesive. So these boards only have one side to catch bugs. This is very frustrating and disappointing.After being contacted by the manufacturer I realized that this product comes with fillers that have adhesive either on one side or two sides. This isn’t explained in the directions but is shown on the adhesive card.This product does work well. I have had two for 3 days and have trapped at least 8 gnats. I am very satisfied and would recommend this product.

I cannot believe what accumulates on these lil sticky cards. I am shocked, and disgusted. I used to set up the lil apple cider traps. Catch until I stopped noticing the 1 or 2 flying around. But those traps are smelly and don't look nice laying around. This light is sleek (and a bonus night light) and IT WORKS. I will be ordering more soon for other rooms. I had no idea we had so many fruit flies. Nervous to see what turns up in a couple other rooms, but confident this lil gadget will get 'em!

Works great! Wish it had more refills but it’s been a few weeks and I have not need to change it just yet but it’s going to be summer and I can’t stand flies lol I will be buying refills for sure but so far it’s been working great! I have 2, one place in the living room near dining room, kitchen and front family room I also have one in the hallway near all three bedrooms. I highly recommend this!

Bought this as well as a Zevo fly catcher to test out the difference and it's safe to say that they both suck. I put both of them in the same super fly infested area of my kitchen and both of them have displayed very poor results I've had them out for at least a week and there's only About 10 to 15 flies stuck to each one. Has a light also. I do like that the cartridges for this one are not as wasteful as the large plastic ones from Zevo. I saw reviews of people who had better luck than me so if you must buy one get this version and not the Zevo

I was not too sure about UVA fly insect trap. But the price was right. I received the package as stated. Opened and followed the directions to set it up then plugged it in. Checked it last night before bed… nothing.Checked it this morning, BAM! (Overnight… not the 5 to 7 days as stated on the box) I had 3 gnats! So I was wrong, this trap is going to be perfect for my kitchen! It’s somewhat small but mighty, looks good plugged in, there is no sound or noise that comes from it. It comes with 5 sticky refills. I’m very pleased with this item and its performance. I would definitely recommend it!

I have a Gardyn indoor hydroponic garden that has had my kitchen overrun with fruit flies. I bought this because I was desperate to find a solution. I was skeptical when I unpacked the unit, but in 24 hours I’ve caught 20!!!! I will definitely keep using this and also considering adding another one closer to my Gardyn.

I purchased these because of the price. I saw them when I went to go order replacement cartridges for my Zevo traps and I’m glad I tried these just out of curiosity because Zevo carts add up quick and the actual plug in is spendy. This works just as well if not better. Less bulky and looks nicer. Replacement sticky pads are simple sticky sheets instead of a huge waste of plastic around the Zevo cartridges. I found more bugs on this one than on the Zevo and they’re in the same room. I’ll be sticking with this brand from here on out. No pun intended. 😊
