I truly put this auger to the test, and it did not Bend or break. It's also an incredible value for the money. I'll probably be buying another one just for safe keeping! If you're planning on using this just for planting, it will absolutely make planting easier. 12/10 WILL use again! Review: Surpasses Expectations - Holy cow! These augers handled the worst soil. Living by a glacier made sound, there are rocks EVERYWHERE...and clay! While they didn't immediately go down 23" immediately, it was way easier than digging by hand. Tips: !. when working with rock, I found it worked better by not pushing down hard, but rather let the blades vibrate the rocks and soil loose by holding it without pressure. 2. I found using the little screw to hold the auger to the extension was tedious when switching sizes. It worked just fine without the connecting screw.
