In the Eighties: Portraits from Another Time

The photos are large and certainly remindful of the eighties, but appear solicited and posed, as I'm sure most are, but these are a bit too much.That said, if you're interested in what was worn by some of the yoof of that era, look no further.

a big slab of 80's youth culture imagery covering pretty much all the "tribes", this would would make an excellent research resource for anyone studying hair/make-up/fashion but the portraiture is too objective to provoke the nostalgia many will be looking to find in a book like this. it's well bound and printed, but the choice to "go large" with these images serves only to lend them an even more dispassionate feel.for a body of work depicting such a visually exciting subject it's strikingly joyless - definitely worth a good look but maybe not at full price ...
