Great product
Well built, heated evenly. This was an upgrade from my old cooktop, and it’s been a great move. The difference showed right away. Heat control is super easy and accurate. Set it once and it stays right there. No jumping around, maintaining the temperature very well. I did notice the on-and-off cycling at first and thought it was unusual, but after checking with customer service, they explained it’s intentional in TEMP mode to prevent overheating and burning. After using it more, it actually makes sense and helps keep cooking more controlled. Very handy, intuitive response, and it runs quietly without being a distraction. The stainless steel build feels solid, performs exactly as advertised and definitely worth the extra cost.

Used it daily over one month, great addition
we're redoing our kitchen right now and can't use the gas stove for about a month, so I needed a compact induction cooktop to handle daily meals, especially with kids at home, and this one's been a great solution. I've been using it almost every day to cook for the family. first thing I noticed: it heats up fast. The heat mode is clearly made for quick cooking. when I need to boil water, I just hit the boil button, it jumps to 1800W and gets going in just a few minutes. Super handy on busy weeknights when I don't have time to wait. Temp mode heats a bit slower than heat mode, but I think that's on purpose- to keep things from burning. It's really helpful for stuff that needs steady, lower heat, like simmering stew or melting chocolate. I've made a bunch of different meals with it, and switching between Heat and Temp to keep it gently simmering. Same when I steam veggies, heat to boil then Temp to keep the steam just right without overdoing it. The fan's nice and quiet too, so it doesn't drive me crazy while I'm cooking. All in all, it's easy to use, easy to clean, feels sturdy, and performs well. Definitely worth it so far.

Best Priced Induction Burner That ACTUALLY is fantastic!
I have had this for a few months now, and wanted to wait to write my review until I had logged some real-time use. This has made my kitchen time SOOOO much more productive! Has cut my cooking times in half by not having to wait forever for pans to get hot, especially cast iron or enamaled cast iron. Boiling ANYTHING now happens in a flash! It adjusts QUICKLY if I need more or less heat. The very large "burner" accomodates even heating in my 12 inch skillets easily. I do reccommend getting a cooking mat to keep pans from sliding around on the glass, as well as to protect the surface from spills and scratches - and makes for super fast clean up when doing fried items. If you are thinking of getting an induction burner, THIS is a very affordable and high quality item. - Having experienced this, I am considering getting an induction stove. There is a TINY learning curve as for dialing in temps - start lower than you would with a regular burner - medium to medium high is higher on induction than a conventional burner.

Love it!
It's good! Larger than I expected, compared with the similarly-priced products like Duxtop. I really like that it has actual buttons, which are intuitive to use and work well. The coil is larger than the Duxtop that I looked at, I measured around 7". Other comments mention noise - there's two types of noise. One is the fan, which isn't too loud or bothersome, and there's also a bit of a high-pitched electric noise, but this is only noticeable at high power. It also differs depending on different pans I've tried, and there's almost no perceptible electric noise at all with some of them. Overall, I love the ability to put out high heat fast and adjust the temperature with instant feedback after years of using a glass-top electric stove. I'd recommend this to anyone considering getting one of these. This one is more powerful and nicer compared with all the other flat-button designs I've seen despite being close to them in price.

Inexpensive induction cooktop works very well
This cooktop was my first foray into induction cooking. My son has become a real environmentalist, and doesn't want me using the gas stove at all. Because switching over to an induction oven will be quite expensive, I opted to purchase this cooktop to make sure I liked this technology and that it was effective for the type of cooking that I wanted to do. I had to replace all of my cookware anyway, because my old set from Costco had the non-stick coating that tends to flake off and that we've now learned is dangerous. So I wound up replacing that set with a ceramic set that is compatible both with this induction burner and with my gas stove, of course, just in case the induction didn't end up working out. It took me a little while to get comfortable with it, but I would have to say that so far I'm enjoying using the induction cooktop. The temperature control is excellent, changing pretty instantly due to the technology. It's amazing to see how fast one can boil a big pot of water! The first time I cooked rice on it, I wasn't very keen on that, but then I noticed that the next time I cooked rice on my stove, it also didn't turn out well. I have since purchased a rice cooker so that I don't have to deal with the issues of cooking rice at all. Just was among the least expensive of the induction cooktops they were selling on Amazon at the time I purchased it. I didn't want to invest a lot of money just in case I didn't like it. It really seems to work fine, and I'm happy with it, as is my son. When I have a windfall I will probably call the electrician to install the power options needed for an induction stove and upgrade. But for now, I'm happy to have this little cooktop.

Sturdy reliable consistent cooker that works for boiling all day
These were exactly as advertised and as I hoped they would be. Yes, the temperature read out is not accurate to the temperature of the liquid in the pot, but the instructions tell you why that is. I used a simple thermometer to measure the boil point and it was consistently between 210 and 220 degrees on the dial, with a unit temperature read out of 260 degrees. I wish the temperature could be adjusted in 5 degree increments but the unit works, is well built, and boils quickly. I like that the cooking surface is large too. I used these with a 5 gallon stock pots to evaporate maple sap and the unit kept temperature all day long without effort, and the power cord never became hot. They are surprisingly light weight which makes them easy to move.

Great display, tactile buttons, 8" induction coil, great cooker! Detailed Review/Use
I've had many induction cooktops, including the 4 burner and 5 burner induction cooktops in my kitchens, so I humbly consider myself pretty experienced with this excellent technology. I needed a third cooker to take on a cabin vacation, and my main complaint about my other 120V, 1800 watt unit is the poor red LED display, which in a sunny area is difficult to read. So my first criteria was a good display. This unit has a very clear bright display in any lighting conditions, and the dual display is nice to see the settings w/o toggling through the display parameters. Second, I wanted more tactile buttons. My personal opinion is I don't like the smooth panel controls, where I'm not sure if I touched the spot long enough, of if I had oil on my fingertips, did it register I touched it, which has happened in the past. These touch buttons are a dream come true. They stand proud of the surface so you can tell you're on them without looking at them. They have a "clickey" sound when properly pressed. This should be the preferred style, and my other commercial portable cookers all have this tactile feature. One big benefit of induction cookers is for messy/splattery jobs, I lay a sheet of parchment paper, or aluminum foil on the cooktop, then put the pan on it. I fold the sides of the foil/parchment down, so I have an idea where the center of the burner coil is. The tactile buttons lets me reach under the foil/paper and adjust if necessary, without having to peek to see if I touched the button, as is the case with smooth surface control models. The large 8" diameter coil evenly distributes the heat over a larger area than a 6" coil. Yeah, you can cook in a much larger pan than 8" diameter but as is for any 1800 watt, 120V cooker, an 8" coil is about as much as the wall current will allow. You can get a commercial unit, like my 5000 Watt, 220V, 30 Amp cooker with a 12" double coil burner but that'll set you back $500-1000 easily, and now you're stuck with running on only 220V. With the 8" coil cooker, I can "cheat" using a 12" skillet on the burner, by moving the pan around to evenly brown, say a steak but for crepes, using a tri-clad pan, I've found it's not necessary. The temp range goes to around 475F, and will overtemperature shut off, if, say the water is boiled out of a pan accidentally. Some other units will go down to 100 Watts, if needed, whereas this one's minimum is 200 Watts. I've never been stuck with too high wattage on the minimum setting, and if I need to get that low, I'll use a double boiler method with water in an induction compatible large skillet with the pan with the food nests in it, with a copper coil spacer on the bottom to keep water around the entire pan. By the way, iron-bearing plates can be used on induction cooktops, where needed, then aluminum/copper cookware can be used, albeit slower and less efficiency. The temp display can be set to either F or C. Just hold the "Temperature" button down for 3+ seconds BEFORE pushing the "Power" button, and it'll toggle to the other reading you had originally. Doing the same steps again will toggle the display from F to C, or vise versa. Heating uniformity: I heated a very large (12.5" dia) skillet with water to see how uniform the burner is, and it's quite good. Initially I could see slightly more boiling on one side of the pan, so to see if it was the pan, I rotated the pan 180 degrees....and yeah, it was the pan, not the cooker. I like that the cooktop surface stands proud of the base/frame of the cooker. There is no bumping the frame, as my 5kw cooker does, and you can put a large diameter pan on it without any problem. This is one of the most intuitive multi-process cookers I've used. Most people with a little or no experience can operate this without even using the pretty good manual.....even a cave man :) I've loaded an externally insulated 27 qt soup pot on it, weighing ~60 lbs with ingredients, and for me, had no problems with the cooker breaking or the frame supports flexing. The cord is high quality, and about 5' long. Noise: An induction cooker used a high frequency oscillating magnetic field that creates Eddy currents that heats up the metal (mainly iron) in the cookware. Although not disclosed for coil frequency, most kitchen units operate in the 20,000 to 50,000 Hertz range, well above human hearing range. But there are other factors, such as harmonics and clad metal interfaces that can cause the whining noise, not the cooker. I can't hear any noise from this cooker, other than the under-body mounted large fan. For me, the fan is quiet, and normal conversation is easily achievable, and not a distraction at all. If you want to make it as quiet as possible, one idea is to buy an acoustic tile, cut it to the footprint of the cooker, then place it under the cooker. But for me it is a quiet cooker, both the fan, and during cooking. One note, if you buy some other brand, and it's noisy, it could be that they're using a lower frequency drive, not a high frequency one. For most cooking applications, higher frequency will penetrate the pan less, creating a "skin effect" coupling, providing more uniform heating. If you're using thinner single ply steel cookware, higher frequency should benefit you. What a great cooker, especially for the price! My only tiny nitpick is I wish they had more than one circle defining the heating coil is. My commercial cooker has three pan placement circles, and the smallest one defines the minimum pan size that's able to be used with the cooker. Other than that, it's a great cooker for operating on 120V.

Excellent induction cooking!
I was chose this induction cooktop because of its reviews. I preferred the membrane switches and digital display as it provided a smooth look and ease of clean up. The footprint of the cooktop fit perfect for my use, as I plan to use it at home and in my soup shop business, and did not want a large bulky appliance. Out of the box, the cooktop is ready to perform, and using the included magnet to check your cook pots are induction compatible. Eliminated any user error experiences from happening. I like the ease of selecting any function from timer mode to full boil setting with no delay. I was impressed with how fast the cooktop could get a pot of water boiling in under 5 minutes. This ability would work nicely with making sauces/gravy. Another feature I appreciate is the efficient heat/energy is transferred to the pot there is no heat loss whatsoever. The protection circuit is always active, when I remove the pot from the cooktop, the appliance with switch power off and give a short audible chime. Also the cooling fan in base of the unit is precisely controlled in keeping the cooktop safely cool. The only fault I could find, is the cooling fan bearing creating a low humming sound probably from its bearing spinning at high RPM. Overall I highly recommend this appliance for home or business use. Excellent quality, and design.

fast cooking with large heating area
Cooking has been a lot more enjoyable since I picked up this induction cooktop. The controls are straightforward, clear buttons with a good click, no complicated menus or touch panels that miss your tap. The display is bright and easy to read, even from across the counter, which makes cooking feel effortless. This cooktop works remarkably well. In HEAT mode, it heats fast, I can boil a full pot of water for soup in just in seconds or preheat a skillet for stir-frying almost instantly. The response time is immediate, you turn it up, and it gets hot right away. Also, the heating area is wide and truly uses its full 8-inch coil, as advertised, giving me even heat across my big pans. I also like that it gets up to temperature stays precise, I’ve used it to sear salmon, cook eggs, and simmer sauces, and every time, the heat stays perfectly consistent, all while running surprisingly quiet, just a soft fan sound in the background, nothing distracting. It’s been a great little burner to cook on every day, and absolutely worth what I paid for it. Scott from Toronto,Ontario

Great Performance, well built
I need a cooktop for a family party, and I don't want to deal with smoke or grease buildup from a temporary gas setup, especially since kids will be around the table. I tried using my metal pan, but it barely heated. I reached out to customer service to ask about it, and they replied almost immediately, explaining that induction requires magnetic metal cookware. I switched to a cast-iron skillet, and it works perfectly - fast heating, even temperature, and the food cooks well. Love the two cooking modes, HEAT mode gets heating fast, great boiling, while TEMP mode keeps a steady simmer, sauces without boiling over. Switching between them only takes a tap, simple to use. It can fit my 7-quart stewing pot and 12-inch stir pan. It is impressively fast and totally worth the price.

Broad coil, quiet, great controls. Best countertop model I've owned.
I've been putting this induction cooktop thru its paces over the past few weeks. And it's almost perfect. It has a much broader coil than my 3 other induction cooktops, meaning that I can cook beautifully formed 10" pancakes on a 12" pan with no errors (my other 3 cooktops respond to a too-large pan with an "overheating" error). The heating is dynamic: Watching the bottom of a 10" pot shows a tight central heat in the first 30 seconds of heating (3" broad) to an at least 7" heat ring within 2 minutes. Making a white sauce in this same 10" pot, I have boiling right to the edges of the pan (at about 8 minutes). So it's easily the best broad, even heat. Plus it's VERY quiet. I can talk or listen to music uninterrupted by fan noise. Not like my other cooktops. Finally, the controls are excellent and intuitive. There is one small problem with this stove: its lowest heat is 200W, which is too much heat for some of my cooking routines (especially those that require simmering of a covered pot). For example, in pressure-cooking some dried chick peas today for 45 minutes, i had to turn the stove off for 10 minutes in the middle of this time, to allow the pressure to lower. For this stove to be perfect, it needs a 100W setting, too. But overall, this is easily the best countertop induction cooktop I've ever owned, or used. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Note added after even more use: the need for a lower temperature setting is easily resolved by switching from reporting W to reporting degrees. Once this has happened, I can turn the temperature way, way down (to 60C). A good simmer (for me) is 110C or 120C. So my one misgiving was already overcome. You just need to switch to temperature to get really low temperatures. The unit's perfect!!!!

Been Using This Brand for Over 2 Years
The first one I bought was for my small restaurant, where it was running almost every day from morning until night. Even with that kind of heavy daily use, it’s still working great today, which honestly says a lot about the build quality. So when they released a newer model last year, I picked up another one for home use. We use it a lot during the winter for hot pot, steaming. The control panel is intuitive and easy to use, and compared to some other induction cooktops I’ve owned before, this one heats frozen food back up noticeably faster the second time around, which is something I really appreciate. Now a friend of mine just moved into a new place, and I’m actually thinking about buying another one as a housewarming gift for her.
