🎉 Elevate your artistry with the Waxmelter Batik Pen!
This tool is made to lay down a consistent line of wax. It can also be used to lay down dots and little "points" of wax. Simply melt down a small amount of paint or wax medium in the reservoir and then carefully touch the Waxmelter Batik Pen to your substrate. The needle that runs down the reservoir will be pushed up; releasing the flow of melted wax. This is ideal for batik artists and for artists who want to try pointillism or get a nice heavy line in their work.

As promised.
I used a similar item in art class that my teacher owned and when I went to buy my own this is the only model I could find. It works fine, although it takes practice to manipulate a thin/fat line. I do wish I could buy extra wells. I switch colors and don't necessarily want to clean one color to go to another until a project is complete. I am pleased it does not require a temperature regulator. It makes it less bulky.

I was so surprised at how easy this was to use
I was so surprised at how easy this was to use. I'm looking forward to making batik prints in my spare time. It was so much more than I thought it would be. I would highly recommend this product. I bought the temperature regulator as a companion piece. Love love love it!

I love this little tool
This is my second one, I love this little tool, wish it wasn't so expensive as I would have one each for several colours.

A novelty at best
Watching the videos of this item being used, I couldn't' resist and I bought it. I didn't read the fine print though and it needed a heat regulator to go with it as well. Well after I bought the item and used it I found that it was not easy to use and was tedious when switching colors. It is basically a soldering iron that someone has welded the flow basin onto. The biggest problem I had is that the pointed flow regulator at the bottom of the basin, if you had any wax layers at all, would melt that layer as the wax was laid down on the painting. This is great if that is what you are trying to achieve but useless if you just want a single line of encaustic medium. Too much to spend on an item that you may use seldom at best.

I bought this tool, I used it for my ...
I bought this tool, I used it for my batik art for a short time. It began to drip uncontrollably,it ruined a rather large piece I was working on. I contacted the manufacturer about the problem only to be met with a rather rude, and defensive person on the other end that claimed I must have damaged the spout in the short time I had it. It's now been in my shop for years collecting dust.
