DOOM: The Dark Ages - PlayStation 5

Fantastic game much better than the last one the graphics and scenery are amazing and the heavy rock music while your killing demons, runs really smooth on my ps5 I bet it's even better on the pro, gameplay is great as your not overwhelmed with too many demons to kill like the last game this game has 22 levels wow well impressed 5☆

I have been playing Doom since the 2nd game came out on the Amiga and in my view this one tops the lot. Whilst i enjoyed the 2016 game, i did not like Doom eternal which had way too much platforming. Doom the dark ages returns the game to what it should be, solid, no-nonsense slaying! The story element was decent and the variation in level design with the giant mecha suit and dragon was a nice switch up from the norm. The weapon selection was awesome, especially the addition of the shield. I loved every moment of this game. The campaign was a very good length too. Worth every penny. Best game i have played on the PS5 so far.

Game is ok overall, not the best in the series though, probably the worst of the 3. It tries to do too much when all people really want is to blow up demons. Also collectors beware, there is nothing on this disc but a stub file, you have to download the whole game, so not great for game preservation.

When I bought this game I played it nonstop it was awesome rip and tear until it's done

Excellent game

Got through about five worlds then got stuck and, although I would’ve loved to, got completely stuck for yonks and even with help couldn’t get further! Game was great up to that Point. Just wish I could’ve got further even with help!

Have played all the Doom games from the original Shareware on a 286 DOS PC on and have thoroughly enjoyed the modern takes Doom (2016) Doom Eternal and now Doom The Dark Ages. ID wisely decided they couldn’t just make more of the same so we get a tougher, chunkier Slayer, more grounded who doesn’t jump around like the previous two games (but mantles and climbs). He’s no slouch though and charges around the ground at a fair old lick and, like before, you have to keep moving to survive despite having a shield (which is another cool weapon addition). I believe there’s been some moaning about price but the game is huge, with 22 levels… no 6 hour FPS flash in the pan here! So, ignore the nay-sayers and join the Doom Slayers!
