I have a specific cover for the FN notebooks and finally I am getting to use it. I have ordered and used the FN notebooks before. I like that the 3 pack comes in lined, graph and blank paper. I just wished there were more than 48 pages in one notebook.

I was hesitant about the price for these, but they're well worth it! The overall quality is great and the size makes it easy to throw in a pocket and take it on the go. I use these around the shop to write down measurements and take the notebook around with me from station to station and throw it in my backpack for any note taking needs that may come up while traveling. Field Notes will definitely be my go-to pocket notebook now.

I came across this product via a podcast interview (WTF podcast) with the creator, Aaron Draplin. His enthusiasm and passion were enough to persuade me to investigate these on my own, and I'm glad I did. As someone who routinely uses and appreciates the tangible quality of notebooks, I decided to purchase this three pack and try them for myself. I've found them to be lightweight - at 48 pgs and just bigger than a 3"x5" index card, they easily fit in my back or shirt pocket without being too bulky. They're also durable - I'm not recording field measurements in the rain or anything, but one has held up to several months of daily abuse being in my back pocket. I appreciate the simple, clean, utilitarian design, and have received compliments on these qualities from others. I spent ~$10 for the 3-pack; you could find cheaper I'm sure, but I also value supporting small business manufacturing in the U.S. and this guy obviously cares about what he creates. Bottom line - if you're looking for a simple notebook for yourself or what I would consider an inexpensive, thoughtful gift, give these a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Can't say enough about field notes. You can get ruled, lined, plain. They are great for carry ability and ease of use. Take notes or make small drawings anywhere you go. Has a great amount of pages and thick enough durable pages to be used anywhere .

Excellent quality and convenient size that allows for ease of carry and convenience. Highly recommend these for anyone who wants/needs notes within reach at all times.

Field notes are probably the best selection of little books in compact but versatile form factor you can get.

Comes super in handy to make little notes. I like using it for commonplacing and drawing and making notes whereever I am. It's small enough to fit into your pocket or bag.
