This camera is perfect for the novice photographer, like myself. Being budget conscience and knowing the "must haves" on my list, the Canon Powershot SX530 is perfect over more expensive cameras.. The zoom is incredible and the clarity is superb and this I found out simply by charging the battery and taking a few shots right out of the box. Very efficient to learn from. Great memory card and WiFi! This camera can be connected to your phone or computer, the 64GB memory card can be inserted in capable computers or the camera comes with a HDMI cord to plug and play where capable. The options are incredible to transfer photos from the camera to another device. I've not enjoyed all that came with the camera yet, but very impressed with what I've been able to do simply right out of the box. Thus, as I learn more and more about photography this camera is well equipped to help me along the way.

I used one like this (except with film instead of digital) when I was the photographer for my unit in Bosnia in the 1990's. It took such great pictures I was really happy to see this set at a great price. The shipment didn't disappoint. Great bag and accessories package from the very low price (normally only covers the body for similar cameras). I had a tough time getting the neck strap on the camera as I don't have teeny tiny fingers, but that was my only issue.

So far I like it a lot. It does have a somewhat cheap feel in the hand, hopefully it will last. Here's my view:Pros: Great zoom. Nice accessories, easy to learn and use, light weight and therefore very portable. Got very nice pics, including of far away things. nice detail and color in the pics.dCons: Seems of lower quality than what I'm used to from Canon, SD card burnt out after first shoot, lost nice pictures, seller did replace!! make sure you format first or it may fry on you. no eye view finder, since I'm used to it now from my DSLR, it's a bit strange to just have the view screen, and when there is glare, it's a bit hard to work.I gave one to my son for his graduation, since he will travel and work in nature, I think it will be great for him.I got myself one on a deal, as a secondary. Don't always want to lug my DSLR around, or wait to change lenses, so this is great for the other occasions.

I have been playing with this camera before I gave it my reviews. Sometimes things aren't quite what they seem to be, but, this is a wonderful camera! I do believe, regardless of why you're purchasing, you'll be well pleased. The zoom is quite good, and, the shots are always stabilized despite any shaking hands. I've still got to learn a little about the shots you can take one right after the other, but, I've already used the movie aspect and I am very happy with this camera. It's not like some out there with plastic this and that; this is a real camera and you will get real results. Happy snapshotting!

I love the accessories that come with this camera. Bag big enough to fit everything in it. The camera turns on and off on its own and when looking through pictures on playback mode it will ether flip back and forth between camera mode and playback mode or off and on completely. Even sitting on the table it will turn on by itself. Called cannon, sending it in hopfuly they can fix it.

Loved this camera! I bought it for my wife for our recent trip to Alaska and it produced some beautiful pics and video. The only minor downside is the lack of a view finder. She said it made it harder to frame a picture in full sunlight. But other than that, she really loved it. It was nice too having a spare battery and 32Gb memory card. We took hundreds of pics and dozens of video and never ran out of space.

I use this camera for my work as a licensed home inspector. It came out to be very light compared to the one I had before (that broke) because of the lighter battery. I liked the 50x optical zoom. But I also liked the 200x digital zoom that gets me closer. Sometimes I take pictures of roofs of houses, very close shots that appear that I am up there. This camera hits the spot of what I need.

I am new to photography and only want to take pictures of my kids at sports and some stills like flowers and landscape etc. I don’t know much about cameras so I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t come with a manual so I’m trying to fumble through all the features. I did like that it came with a bunch of accessories. So far the pictures I have taken have been good, but the true test will be the action shots at sports.
