Unbeatable Value
These are infinitely better than expensive grid tie arrays. Easy install just plug and play. Ive actually got 700 watts up in series-parallel. My roof pitch faces east and west so I have 3 to catch the morning sun and 4 to catch the afternoon sun. Working great the voltage is about maxed out around noon in the summer but I think the mppt keeps it low enough. Got it hooked up to a 400ah battery. Powers a 6000btu window ac all day or a 500 watt space heater for several hours a day in winter. Also have a charging station and wifi it runs. Electric bill is $100 less per month. The mppt is really great. It will charge even on the cloudiest days. Very handy during 2 power outages already. For the money the value is unbeatable.

Great entry to mid level solar kit
Renogy, the name in serious solar! Renogy was my gateway into hobby solar. I started with this 400 watt kit as an entry level, but it seriously was more than I expected. My batteries charge quickly and are very happy. It's currently deployed in a garden shed for tool battery charging and for exterior lights. Installation was easy. Setup was a breeze. The app leaves a little more to be desired but it's informative and easy to use. The built in functionality will keep you engaged. With little sun exposure on cloudy days, these small panels are rocking and still providing enough amps to keep the batteries happy. The cables included in this kit are of high quality. Mounting the controller was easy. The kit came with temp sensor and Bluetooth module which is great. When the panels are completely exposed to the sun, I taken my batteries from nearly dead to full charge in a few hours while using them for gardening. If you're looking for a hobby system for home use, a small system for off-grid applications, look no further! This is your last stop.

Great setup
Great system, after 3 yrs no problems whatsoever. Keeps me charged up. Perfect for a simple off grid application for a decent value.

Good, complete system
I've purchased Renogy products for other applications. Given the overall quality, it's time to do it again. The kit was pretty much as expected. It does the job and works well. I have a few things to criticize: 1) The wiring from the panels to the controller is a bit short. I installed this system on a class A motorhome. The wiring from the roof, down the rear cap, into the electrical box just barely reached. Another meter would be just fine. 2) The 30 amp fuse block is a bit big and clunky. It was hard to find a place to mount it so that all the wiring worked out. 3) There was an extra 10 amp fuse included with panel style connectors on it. Had no idea where to put it as it is underrated for the combined output of the panels. 4) No instructions! Good thing I'm an electrical engineer and know what to do with this stuff. Only the controller had instructions of any kind. 5) The BT-1 remote monitor accessory is a joke. It can't be paired correctly, and takes a long time to get connected and display anything. All I want to do is see what the battery level is and how much current is being pushed. A simpler hardwired panel would be much better and faster to use. Overall, a good value. I'd recommend this to others.

Good basic starter system.
I purchased this kit to put rooftop solar on my 16' travel trailer. It took some research on the Renogy website to figure out the wiring for proper installation, but I'm pretty handy and was able to figure it out just fine. My trailer has 2x100 amp-hour LiFePO4 batteries wired in parallel. Our electrical demands when dry-camping are not all that large. We don't have an inverter and only run the 12 volt stuff when 30amp AC power is not available. This means interior and exterior lights, water pump, heater, fans, and the propane fridge. We the most we ever run down our batteries is to about 85% state of charge by each morning. On a sunny day, we're 100% within a couple of hours and cloudy days or sites with little sun, we almost always recover fully by sundown. I did not use the included mounts for the solar panels because I was not comfortable drilling my camper roof and using well nuts (not included). Instead I used the Renogy Corner Bracket Solar Panel Roof Drill-Free Mount for RV with 3M VHB tape which works the charm. For my set-up there was plenty of wire between the panels and charge controller. However, in order to reach from the charge controller to my battery bank it was necessary to purchase some 8AWG wire as the included cables were simply too short to reach the needed distance. The bluetooth app is nice to see how the panels are performing, but it's not absolutely necessary since all the info other than the history is available on the display on the controller. Be aware you need a shunt (not included) to actually monitor state of charge. All in all I'm pretty happy with this system. We just returned from a 31 day, 4400 mile trip with our trailer and I never had to worry about my batteries at all. We always had more than enough power to do everything we need to do.

I was surprised with the lack of installation & wiring instructions in the kit. I had to rely on wiring diagrams found on a Google search. I wired the panels in series (not parallel) and was getting 70V on a cloudy day only to find out that the Adventurer charge controller that came with the kit can only handle a max PV input voltage of 50V. There was nothing in the kit to advise series vs parallel and apparently if I had wired the panels in parallel then the controller it may have worked. In hind site I should have wired the panels in parallel but changing the panel mounting and wiring is not an option for me anymore so I have ordered the Rover 40A MPPT charge controller, which can handle 100V PV input voltage.

Nel kit mancano le prese di diramazione Y-plug per collegare i pannelli

This came with everything we needed. We wired the solar panels in series, because the MPPT controller is able to fix to voltage to 12V. The controller is a great bit of kit - it gives you lots of information, including temperature, % charge of battery, voltage from solar panels etc. It can also be connected to the PC for further analysis. This kit contains everything you need to have a really effective solar panel kit.
