Thrustmaster T598 Racing Wheel for PS5, PS4 & PC - 5 Nm Direct Drive Steering Wheel with Pedals Set, Realistic Sim Driving Experience with Force Feedback

Drives like butter. Wait, let’s step back a little. I’m upgrading from the T300RS. Which was a very solid wheel. But it was time to try direct drive. And the T598 delivers. I’m a PS5 GT7 gamer and initial setup was a breeze. (Mind you I did not use the pedals as I own a set of LCM pedals) Pros: • excellent force feedback. At high speeds feels like holding two shake weights. • Road feel is perfect. Smooth when you have good grip, loose when the car is out of control, and very shaky when you lose grip. • Relatively easy firmware updating. • Easy to understand fine tuning controls Cons: • Wheel controller feels cheap • button layout is not intuitive • must use mounting attachment which adds to wheel height. Overall, it’s a great wheel and a welcome upgrade or starter wheel.

It’s direct drive and ps5 compatible for around $500. It’s the best deal for a wheel you’re going to find Use the settings on the wheel base. Stock settings are low out of the box and the wheel feels like a g29. So I was underwhelmed until I realized you can change everything. Complete game changer And there’s one other issue, it randomly disconnects from the ps5. Zero issues on pc though. People say it’s the power supply, idk. But it is annoying when it happens. Started after I updated it, no disconnects before that. But other than that issue it’s an incredible wheel

Do not buy this wheel. After 1 month of light usage and playing a game of Wreckfest, my force feedback quit working when I went to play iRacing. Ticket is submitted with Thrustmaster and may update this later. Refund requested though.

This type of gaming isn't really my jam but I asked the kids what they thought and it came in with good reviews. They like that it was easy to install and feels fine/smooth when using it. The pedals are easy to control and overall, it feels pretty comparable to another one we have. They like it! I like that they can use it on the PC, PS5 and at a friend's house who has a PS4. It feels pretty nice to me although that doesn't mean much hahah

Issues with it disconnecting and losing power. On top of that it wasn't as quiet as i was hoping. Returned for the RS50 instead.

Excelente volante DD. Di el salto del T300RSGT y sí hay cambios. Las sensaciones son mejores. En GT7 ningún problema pero en ACC sí se desconectó 1 vez. Supuestamente se corrige cambiando el USB. A una persona con el mismo volante sí le funcionó, así que no hay problema. OJO: no vienen los tornillos para acoplar directamente al cockpit (al menos para el Playseat tuve que ponerle 2 tornillos con su tuerca, y sin ningún problema). Por precio, creo que es de las mejores opciones de 5NM.

¡El Thrustmaster T598 es, sin duda, un volante sobresaliente! Como muchos, he investigado las diversas opiniones en línea, algunas lo alaban y otras critican su Force Feedback (FFB) de 5 Nm, considerándolo insuficiente. Sin embargo, mi experiencia es radicalmente diferente, y creo que es crucial para aquellos que, como yo, no vienen del ecosistema de PC más hardcore. Si eres un veterano del sim racing en PC, con expectativas específicas y quizás acostumbrado a configuraciones de gama más alta, es posible que encuentres ciertas "desventajas". Pero para un usuario intermedio como yo, que juega exclusivamente en PS5 y da el salto desde un Thrustmaster T248, esta compra ha sido un acierto total. La mejora es instantánea y muy satisfactoria. En cuanto a los pedales, aunque comparten la tecnología magnética de los T3PM, los que vienen con el T598 me resultaron mucho más cómodos. A pesar de que el paquete base solo incluye dos pedales, no me importó para nada dejar de lado el embrague y los T3PM anteriores; la ergonomía y la estética de los nuevos pedales son superiores. El FFB me parece más que adecuado. En ningún momento lo he sentido débil. De hecho, en ciertos escenarios de Gran Turismo 7, especialmente con coches de alta potencia a velocidades elevadas, tuve que ajustar un poco el FFB a la baja. Mantener el coche en línea recta se convertía en un desafío emocionante, demostrando que los 5 Nm son, para mi uso, más que suficientes. Incluso con el volante montado en un Racing Wheel Stand, la fuerza generada es tal que el soporte se mueve un poco, lo que habla de su potencia. En definitiva, el T598 supera en todo al T248 que tenía. Si buscas una mejora significativa para tus sesiones de sim racing en consola, y vienes de un volante de gama baja - media, este es un volante que recomiendo con los ojos cerrados.
