200182 Easy Solartent

I purchased this item to prevent from getting too much sun on our beach trip and it worked perfectly. It comfortably housed four adults (in an upright sitting position) and our small cooler. It provided us with shelter from the sun and never blew away. The simple tent-like metal stakes weren't ideal for the sand but the weight of our cooler and other things helped to give them more support. We practiced setting it up before our trip and it was super easy, but I would recommend having another person there to help you if you plan to use it on a windy beach as it is quite large and the wind can make it a bit challenging. It folds up very compact and can easily be carried on its own or in your beach bag.

It was missing two pieces but we didn't know until we took it out on the beach. It wouldn't go up. Complete waste of money but not worth the trouble of returning it. So, I dug a hole in the sand and lined it with the tent to fill with water for my son. A make shift kiddie pool=not bad. A sun tent=really terrible. Even if it had all the pieces it would have been a complete pain to set up. It has real tent poles. Nobody wants to deal with real tent poles on the beach.

This shade is very thin. In fact so thin that I had to put my beach towel on top to have real shade. It small and easy to carry and is good to have if you are not allowed to put up a tent where you are.

I set it up at home as recommended in previous comments. We're going to the beach this weekend and I'm hoping it sets up quickly if there is any wind, and that it provides adequate sun protection.

Good - Spacious. You can lie down sideways and fit. Covers from sun, can fit a chair that reclines under it.Not so Good - i purchased for me and my dog. Too large for just 1 person, Not hard to put together, but not easy for 1 person.Great for the price, and for quick shade, folds small for storage.

Waste of money. Me and fiancé we're unable to get this to work. We followed the instructions to the letter with no luck. When I contacted the company they we're only willing to give me a partial refund...so now I use the canvas part to sit on during out door events. And the poles came in handy for getting some coconuts out of a tree in key west. Not what I bought it for but I am stuck with it. Do your self a favour and,get a different tent.

Bought this to take on our flight to the Caribbean. Did not disappoint! Compact size (ca. 18" long) and low weight (ca. 4 lbs) made it easy to pack in the suitcase. As others have noted, may want to practice setting up at home so get the hang of it. Otherwise can easily be set up by one person in a couple of minutes. Sun protection was great and liked the open design that allows a breeze to come through. Can weight it down using the sand pockets but the included stakes really helped keep it grounded in the face of a strong breeze. We obtained a couple of low beach chairs from our hotel and these easily fit underneath the tent. A number of people on the beach commented on the design and shade it afforded. Overall was very pleased with this product.
