My 8-year old daughter is a pitcher in her 10U league, and some of those girls can hit it pretty hard back up the middle. She hates the weight of the steel wire masks, and the plastic ones just didn't feel tough enough to me. This was a great compromise for us: appreciably lighter in-hand and on the face than the steel ones, and certainly safer than something plastic.Fit was great, no ponytail issues (there's a special slot designed to run it through if you want), no problems with vision or padding or anything. Easy to get in and out of between innings. Her only complaint was the chin pad, which was a little scratchy and hard to get in the right spot, but definitely more of a comfort nitpick than a fit or safety issue. Glad I bought it, recommended!

This mask is very sturdy, yet lightweight. I’m an adult male with a USA hat size of 7 5/8”, which is larger than average. Because of that, we customized the straps to fit me. No biggy, as we expected that.Once the straps were extended, it fits perfectly and is stable on my face. This is especially important because I play shortstop and 3rd base.The shape accommodates my wrap around sunglasses.It’s not possible to wear a visor or baseball hat facing forward (with the hat’s bill to the front) while wearing the mask. It would be nice to be able to wear the hat normally, but I haven’t found any masks that would do that either.Overall, excellent mask at a reasonable price.

My dad doesn’t have an Amazon account so he asked me to buy this item for him as he plays in an adult baseball league. He is about 5 foot 11 and average build slender face while this product feels like to touch the heavy metal quality seems to be very protective, the green color is very pretty and shiny according to him it works well and will protect him from any balls that may pop up and hit him in the face. They will be deflected by this mask. He said he recommended to all his teammates.

Like many reviews have said, good quality mask, lightweight, easy to adjust...although the chin pad does not stay put. I have yet to try other options to get it to stay, but the way it comes certainly is not the ticket.

As described, Lightweight. 9 yo daughter likes it.Wish you could still wear a ball-hat with this on. I think this is a problem common to all face masks.

My daughter made the All-Star softball team, so I purchased this to replace her cheap pink Walmart mask she had for 4 years. The Velcro came unglued to the metal and the chin pad stopped sticking to it all together. She wore it through practice and games for only a month. Very disappointing especially after the higher cost

Birthday gift for seven year old granddaughter. She loved it! I feel good giving her something that will protect her face for many years of ball playing!

Kid loves this mask, super light weight, says she doesn't even know it's there.

Seemed like a very comfortable and sturdy mask… I had read some reviews of the chin pad coming loose, and it did seem like that might be an issue. It didn’t work for me as I have a longer head, I guess… even after adjusting the chin pad, in order to have it on my chin, the top of the mask was riding on my eyebrows.
