RommelsbacherEKO 364/E Elpresso Mini

Purchased to replace an aluminium Bialetti moka express with a broken thermostat switch and couldn't be happier. The Rommelsbacher arrived with a UK 3-pin plug (fitted over an EU plug) and a number of smart design features. There's in internal water level gauge in the base so you can meter output between 1-3 espresso sized cups and therefore the coffee strength. The coffee grounds pan sits inside a spring loaded holder in the water heating base, making removal after brewing for cleaning extremely easy. It pours smoothly without dribbling and is very pleasing to look at. Perfect for making coffee for one person at a time.

so glad I managed to find this. It is for my husband and a replacement for the one he had had for many years! It is well worth every penny, although it does seem rather expensive for a coffee pot. Excellent product and highly recommended.

I like my breakfast coffee strong and long, so found the basket of the 364 too small for the amount of water in the base. However, having bought the bigger 366 - which has to be directly from Germany (got my last one fromALTERNATE GmbH and remember to also buy from Amazon a plug converter for UK sockets - the one for the bulkier angled Type F plugs). I now enjoy an absolutely perfect coffee by filling the basket with the finest ground coffee (Grind 2 -just above Turkish), but with half the maximum water. I would still rather use the 364 than any hob espresso maker because Rommelsbachers have auto switch off. I used to be forever tasting burnt coffee because I'd been doing something else while letting the coffee brew.

Reasonably happy with this after having to give up an Alessi espresso maker :-( as it wouldn't work on my new induction hob.It is a very neat machine, it works well despite producing rather weak espresso owing to its rather small coffee container. The auto switch-off is great. The lid and thumb-lift is made of thin stainless steel which gives a cheap feel but is the only thing that lets down this useful appliance.

Italian coffee for one person and its electric!

Für mich bis jetzt der beste Espresso/Mokka Kocher, den ich benutzt habe.Zum einen sind keine schädlichen Aluminiummetalle verbaut, welche sich auch früh oder später auf dem Geschmack des Kaffees auswirken.Zum anderen läuft das Teil wie ein Uhrwerk. Habe es als Alternative für die Arbeit täglich mehrmals im Gebrauch und das jetzt seit über 1. Jahr.Zum Reinigen : heißes Wasser genügt , unter gar keinen Umständen mit Spüli oder sonstigem durchwaschen ! Die Kaffeereste, die nun mal zwangsläufig im inneren bleiben und sich sogesehen einbrennen, tun der Qualität des Kochers keinen Abbruch, Spülireste im Kaffee aber schon!Wie immer bin ich sehr zufrieden mit einem Produkt von Rommelsbacher.

Estuve dudando en que cafetera comprar, me decidí por esta y estoy encantado. Hace un café muy rico. Es importate, antes de decidirse a comprarla, saber algunas cosas. Si te gusta el café americano (un poco aguado) no hay problema y puedes seguir las instrucciones normales de uso. A mi me gusta un poco más concentrado, por lo que echo la mitad de agua, aunque luego obtenga menos café. Es muy cómoda, funcional y tarda relativamente poco en hacer el café. Además, se desconecta sola cuando acaba. Otro aspecto a tener en cuenta es que tiene una construcción muy robusta en acero inoxidable y que, si se cuida, tiene pinta de durar muchos años. Mi principal preocupación en ese aspecto es tener cuidado para que no entre agua por el agujero de la palanca de encendido.

Agréablement surprise par la qualité de la machine, des matériaux et de la finition. Correspond completement à la description. Le café est excellent. Le système de double dosage, double marque interne du niveau d’eau est efficace et facile d’utilisation. Facile d’entretien et d’usage. Je suis ravie. Au niveau contenance j’ai été agréablement surprise si l’on n’oublie pas qu’il s’agit d’expresso, donc de cafe serré. A quantité égale d’une autre cafetière moka plus grande et préconisée pour une contenance supérieure ... pour en avoir fait l’expérience elles étaient quasi équivalentes en contenance mais celle ci est plus compacte. Je suis emballée par ce modèle tout inox, compacte et même joli dont on sent vu la qualité et l’épaisseur de l’inox qu’il durera. Cela vaut amplement l’investissement... l’autre modèle mentionné que je cite en comparaison de contenance était moins cher mais l’inox plus fin et les finitions ainsi que la qualité sont moins belles. Donc c’est en connaissance de cause que je recommande cet article. Bonne dégustation
