Makes perfect burgers!
This thing is great for making burgers of all different thicknesses or all exactly the same. I wouldn't really want to have to re-adjust the thickness 25 times for a bunch of burger snobs at a giant neighborhood BBQ - but I COULD with this unit. But set it to the perfect thickness for yourself and make thousands of perfect burgers for the rest of your life, because I think this thing will last that long. It's metal and simple and well-made. You can make a pile of burgers and take it all apart to wash it thoroughly. But here's what I would recommend... use cellophane or cheapo sandwich baggies. Grab a scoop of burger, toss it in the wrap or bag and squish. Voilah! You have a pile of bagged burgers ready to put in a freezer bag and freeze. No washing needed. Then pull out 1 or 2 (or 13) at a time to thaw and cook but, duh, take the bag off first ;-)

Solid product.
This is a very solid burger press. I use wax paper sheets in between the aluminum surface and the burger keeps it very clean. Disassembles easy for cleaning. Nice unit. The only thing I dislike about it is if you press your burger too hard it becomes tough after grilling.

Best Kitchen Gadget Ever
I received this burger press earlier today. I just processed about 6 pounds of ground beef into 0.4 pound burgers. It works like a charm. I did follow the suggestion of one reviewer and used about 6" squares of parchment paper on both sides of the patty before pressing. Once the patties are frozen, I will vacuum seal them is bags and await the perfect burger. The device is also easy to clean.A suggestion for a future upgrade would be to include a small detachable handle to give more leverage when pressing the patties. My wife weighs 110 pounds and has arthritis in her hands. It is almost impossible for her to use it.

Sturdy burger press that needs to be with every BBQ
Definitely not a plastic, one size burger maker! This is an aluminum press with an adjustable thickness setting and settings for 1/4, 1/3 , and 1/2 burgers. But a bunch of ground beef, and get the paper dividers to make a freezer full of delicious burgers.

Please don't buy this cast piece of junk.
Cuisinart CABP-300 is not worth buying.I was surprised on how bad this was with the Cuisinart name on it. The metal is cheap cast white metal. The "wing nut" used to select the size is very rough casting. It looks and feels like it was made in someones back yard. The unit has to be totally taken apart to clean because the meat can easily get pressed behind the top place metal part of the press.Using the press is also hard and takes some getting used to to get the meat to fit so it will actually press a descent burger out of it. Seriously If you don't put the meat in just right the burger will not come out right. The thicker the burger the harder it is to get a good burger patty out of this cast piece of junk.

It would work better with a larger base or legs to keep it from flipping over backwards when opened
Works well like other similar products I own, but this unit is very top-heavy and tends to fall over backward when you try to open the lid even with meat inside. It really needs a larger base or suction attachment
