Clairol ColorStrong Permanent Zero Ammonia Hair Dye, 8.0 Medium Blonde - Malibu Hair Color, Pack of 1

The reviews on this product are mixed, and I dont really understand how so I'm writing this to add my two cents..While on vacation I purchased this from CVS because my grays were really grown out.. The instructions were very easy to follow..I applied the clear primer, then mixed the developer and color together and began to apply to my roots. After waiting 25-30 min, I could see the color had developed fully and rinsed the dye off in lukewarm water in the shower then applied the included conditioner.My hair came out amazing, felt much softer than my previous brand, the color was a great match and all grays were actually covered!I did notice that when the bathroom was cold, the color wasnt developing as quickly until after I turned a heater on inside the bathroom.. but I've also noticed this with other brands in the past.After my hair dried, it did feel much softer, not as dried out as with the other brand.. and the color lasted without fading until the next time my roots grew out!I actually ended yo switching to this brand and the Toscana color, because its a more natural color and tone for my complexion! After 2 root touch ups, the color looks even nicer since I'm able to see it grown out a couple of inches, and it looks great in the sunlight!As for the "multidimensional" color, I didn't notice any significant miracles with the middle or ends if my hair because I've dyed it so dark the last 15 years, that nothing is going to add any highlights or dimension.. I do plan in using this and we'll see how it looks after the old brand has completely grown out, I can't wait to see my hair completely colored by this brand in the Toscana color.I had a great experience with this product and other brands failed to color all of my grays.. I was definitely impressed by the performance, the smell, it feels more gentle than my previous brand, and my hair doesn't feel as dry or coarse after using this 2 times.I hooe this helps anyone in the fence about purchasing this.. I may update this review again after more touch ups, and I think there are going to be some nice before/after photos too, as the color is more natural on me than any previous dyes I've used.

Want a beautiful medium brown hair color that doesn’t accidentally come out black? Here it is! I found this line accidentally after I also accidentally messed up my hair with at home color. Story time: I dyed my hair brown with another line, missed a huge spot, tried to re-dye just the missed spot, but ended up turning a bunch of the surrounding hair black. A box of color remover and some tears later… then somehow I bought this. Long story short, I dyed my hair with this brand and it turned out so beautifully that the next time I dyed my hair I used it again, and I got the same beautiful results. I have resistant grays and it covered them with no problem, and I didn’t end up with weird patches of blackish hair like some brown hair dye causes (amirite ladies?) My hair feels great after dying because this product does not contain ammonia (that’s never been important to me in the past, but it’s noticeable!). Try the medium brown shade, it’s gorgeous and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments!

The media could not be loaded. The good thing about this dye is it doesn’t damage your hair. I’ve bleached mine, dyed it more times than I can count and I use heat on my hair a few times a month. The only negative thing I can say about this hair dye is its longevity. It’s been about a month and the BLACK BLUE dye is already washing out. I’m not mad about it at all because I didn’t like the color on me. At this point I’m probably just going to color strip it better than having two toned hair. LOL! The video was a week after I died it, it was BLUE BLACK. Then it turned into black now it’s turning back into brown my natural hair color.

I am impressed. I am 60 - my hair is down to the end of my neck but I’ve developed the style of clipping it up. If my hair is clean, colored & taken care of it looks nice and makes me feel good. I’m going to get this product again. One major thing I noticed is that I didn’t put any product on afterwards. It did still need it after air drying but only a little. For the first time I could let my hair air dry, clip it up and my bangs even looked good. Yes, I recommend this.

I bought the Sunset Mahogany color because I loved the color on the box, which appears purple. I wasn't expecting a crazy purple, just hoped for something subtle. Unfortunately I got no purple at all, and it somehow lightened my roots? I would've expected it to darken my hair if anything, not lighten it. I couldn't get it to photograph well, but my roots are definitely lighter than before, and look a different color than my lengths. I haven't dyed my hair in many years, so I started with virgin hair. It only added a very slight cool tone to my hair but that's it. Definitely nothing like the color on the box!

I used a hair dye in shade 5.3 Medium Golden Brown to slightly lighten my hair, but the pigment turned out MUCH darker, so my hair actually became even darker too((( Not black but dark chocolate. On the plus side, the dye covered my gray hair really well. We'll see how long it lasts.

For me it turns out nice, and it colors most of my gray hair. I have thick hair so 1 box was not enough ,that's why there were some grays that didn't cover.I love the color and it matches my brown complexion.

Easy to apply and beautiful color. I used dark ash blonde. I just did it this morning. Hoping it doesn’t turn brassy like every other products I have tried.
