I've suffered with tendonitis for years, I have a gel pack but half the time the pain is in a part of my foot that requires the pack to be held and usually it's too cold for direct skin contact so I'm juggling cloths to try to maintain a constant cooling. These socks just slip straight on and, even directly from the freezer, they are ok to put straight against bare skin. They also act as a cushion so it's like walking with a memory foam insoles. The velcro strap ensures the sock stays in place even when moving around or even when wearing in bed.

I bought these for peripheral neuropathy - burning feet. I keep them in the vegetable drawer in my fridge ( in the plastic envelope enclosed for the purpose.) They get very cold and are great for a quick fix, but because my feet get very hot they do not stay cold very long. They're quite heavy but relatively easy to put on. Were they worth the price? I would say yes, because of the instant relief they provide.

These are a lovely fit and such a relief for the pain in my foot. They are a great design & colour, and are cool enough to be effective for me, but not too cold to endure.

TOO cold! I obviously appreciate that the idea is to provide cold compression to as much of the foot/ankle as possible, but the fact that the entire foot (AND a generous ankle section) is completely enclosed in what becomes an incredibly cold and heavy sock is actually just a little TOO uncomfortable to bear. The quality of the sock and elasticated/velcro fastening is great; the gel substance is clearly very effective at retaining cold - but for me, it was just that bit too mindblowingly cold to be able to keep my foot inside! I am now using them more as ice packs, wrapped around the heel/ankle/arch, and giving the toes and part of the top of the foot an escape from the extreme cold; not what the product is intended for, but having bought it (and clearly being unable to return something I've used) I'd rather get SOME use out of it! I think the bottom line is - if you have an extreme, acute and long-term need to keep your foot cold it's brilliant; if you need more of an ice pack to act on a temporary injury/swollen foot, maybe consider something slightly less 'industrial?!!!

These are life savers for anyone with nerve damage in their feet. Keep them chilled all the time just ready to use when required.

Really disappointed with the Hilph Foot Ice Pack Cooling Sock. As soon as I put the sock on, the gel started coming out through the pores in the fabric. Not what you expect from something meant to be reused, and definitely not great build quality. It could have been a useful product, but the leaking gel made it unusable.

Fantastic product has really helped with my peripheral neuropathy.

The sock is fine. Just realise that there is only one! I stupidly assumed there were 2 socks.

I sprained my foot when I fell, yes my foot not my ankle but side of foot because my foot went sideways when I fell. I used it only for the Ice pack part. Because the sprain was on the outside it was hard to put an ice pack on it without it falling off and uncomfortable if I tried to sit with my foot sideways. This is perfect as it is easy to wear and covers all of your foot. Suggest that you follow directions exactly for maximum comfort. I highly recommend this product.

My husband and daughter both said it helped with swollen ankle and it felt nice. Only comes with 1 sock - wish they came with 2

I purchased this ice sock as an alternative for an ice pack for my ankle surgery. I like that you can velcro it on and it stays in place as ice packs usually do not. I wear a size 7.5 shoe and it fits well and covers my ankle. A larger foot it may not cover your ankle and/or fit comfortably. It is convenient to use and chills quickly in the freezer. The reason for not giving it a 5 star rating is because it only stays cold for about 15 minutes. I do like the product and would recommend it.

The description says you can STAND in it. I found that putting pressure on the heel by standing (or maybe in the process of getting up to a standing position) caused it to leak a tiny bit and at that point in the heel, it picked up fibers from the carpet that stuck to it. Easy enough to pull off those fibers, but it made me think that some gel must have leaked - a tiny bit - to give the fibers the sticky-ness. So I think as long as you are sitting or lying down, you don't have that issue. The beauty of this, though, is that it does encase your entire foot and ankle in soothing cooling relief vs. a wrap that only covers part of the foot or ankle, and it's very easy to put on and is comfortable. In that respect, I give it 5 stars. I removed one star because it doesn't stay cool as long as I would like - not as long as other cold wraps that only cover part of the foot, and then I removed another star because I do think that with pressure, the gel leaks a tiny bit and you shouldn't stand while wearing this. I don't know what else would explain the small collection of carpet fibers at the heel. I'd like to give it 3 and a half stars but that's not an option. I'm keeping it in any event.
