Interesting Product
Invested in one of these during lockdown as a science project for the kids (and me) and its worked well. If you feed the product to garden veg it gives a practical example of the organic cycle in quite a short space of time.Firstly the price - it's very overpriced. Especially as you really need two to alternate use. Considering compost was mainly made of uneaten supermarket veg mine was probably the most expensive compost created by man.Compost breaks down very quickly so it takes quite a long time to fill. Don't forget lots of 'browns'. It produces a relatively small amount of compost but a surprisingly large amount of compost tea which seems to do a good job of making the garden grow. I've spread it directly onto grass with no adverse effects.A couple of things which are worth pointing out are smell and hygiene. Promotional material pictures this on a balcony. You really do not want this anywhere close to a seating area or the house as it stinks. The abundant compost tea seems to need emptying every couple of weeks. If are not prepared to do this it will be running out of the bottom. Be carefully if spreading the compost tea on a herb garden, etc as this would probably be a fairly easy way to poison the family.Design is really good. Only improvements I could suggest would be. If you put it up against the wall and rotate it the door opens - bit of a learning curve thing here. Interior of compost tea collector seems to be baffled so its hard to fully empty it - best way to do this is to swing it around a bit but you are then spraying the toxic liquid around. Stopper on compost tea collector can cross thread and this would probably make it useless if it broke.

Good compost tea, rubbish (no pun intended) compost.
It's hard to believe that I've been using this for almost two and a half years and am only now writing a review. I'm usually much quicker than this. The reason I held off was to give this composter at least a year before commenting.I must admit I've always been a fan of the 2-bin composting method, the way my father used to do it – two open bins, one maturing, one being added to, but I don't have room in my present garden so opted for this. I followed all the advice, read and re-read the instructions, added what I should, omitted what I shouldn't, and a year later I got a bucketful of compost tea and a barrel of sodden mess. Okay, keep trying.Another year, another bucketful of compost tea, and more sodden mess but this time in dirty great lumps. I've tipped it out, broken it up and chucked it in my raied veggie bed where, hopefully, next year's spud crop will benefit. So far the positives are that it's relatively easy to operate, and the critters can't get in. It produces good liquid compost. The negatives?Didn't produce good compost. Not the easiest thing to empty.Far too expensive – I bought the smaller one, and to be honest I haven't recouped the cost in compost. On reflection I think I would have been saved myself a lot of money and effort if I'd just put all my compostable waste in the local council's recycling bin, and then bought a bag from them.Disappointing.

This bin and done good
Comes in a lightweight box - no assembly needed and easy to lift. Very easy to use and add waste to. Door catch can be a little stiff. My compost is not the greatest but I need to get the balance right between wet and dry material - my fault not the composter's. I raised mine on bricks so that I could get a bottle under the drain tap, but if you don't want to you will need to collect the "tea" in a shallow dish. What's more it looks good so I can have it near my kitchen door instead of at the end of the garden (great when your kitchen waste bin needs emptying and it is raining!). You could buy an awful lot of commercial compost for the price of this bin, but this is much more fun!!.

Very let down by this product
I've been using this composter for nearly a year now and I've held off writing a review until I could properly test it.The pros are:- it's sturdy- it's easy to fill and rotate- delivery was greatThe pros:- it's way too expensive. It'll never make enough compost to justify its cost. Buy compost instead or get something cheaper- when it rains, the lid let's in water so you get soggy contents which does it breaking down. You need to remember to put the lid at the bottom after turning it but then this makes the holes in the bottom pointless- the liquid feed in the bottom tray is just rain water and a pain to empty- in a year I've had one load of partially (barely) broken down compost. Not good enough for use in pots or traysI wouldn't recommend this product and wish I could get my money back on it. It's not bad, it will work given plenty of time but it's massively over selling itself and far too expensive. I should have had 3-4 full loads of compost by now... :(Get something for a quarter of the price which would do the same thing.

The best looking compost bin available.
If, like me you care about the look of your compost bin then this is the one for you. My god its expensive but it is without question the best looking and probably the best quality bin I've seen, and trust me, I did a lot of looking. Its super simply in its design and operation. Im already talking myself into buying another one. It would be 5 stars if, other than the look and simplicity I could justify the price. It doesn't need to be so expensive. Also, if it helps. In the picture are two standard 240l bins and they are all sitting on three 600x600 slabs.*Update* I bought another! So, I had a little problem with the locking mechanism on the first one. I contacted Envirocyle and they sent me a new lid and locking mechanism very quickly and couldn't be more helpful. This, as well and the ease of use and simplicity encouraged me to buy another and to now give 5 stars instead of 4. Very happy.
