Our son is 11 and this is perfect for him, and I'm sure it will last him well for many years. It's a solid, well constructed unit, with loads of storage space. We're particularly happy with the amount of room on the desk, and the amount of headspace above too. Many other beds we looked at, such as a similar unit at IKEA, has very little headroom under the bed, so you are forced to crouch. But this bed design gives plenty of space without needing to crouch. I'm glad we went with this design rather than the cheaper one from IKEA, as this unit offers so much more room, because of the higher headroom and the desk being at an angle so it's perfect for older kids and teenagers.You do need to have reasonably good DIY skills, or have good experience in building flatpack furniture. Two of the packages that the parts came in were extremely heavy, and actually took 3 people to lift. Our son's bedroom is upstairs, so we had to unpack the boxes and carry the individual part upstairs one-by-one, as it would not have been possible to carry those heavy packages up the stairs with two people.The assembly is similar to building IKEA furniture, but it was definitely harder in comparison. You do need to have reasonably good DIY skills to assemble the bed, as some sections can be confusing to build, particularly installing the draws, and connecting the main sections together was challenging for two people to try move, line up and connect such big sections together. Definitely take your time when doing the assembling, don't rush it, and check and double check the instructions, because it's easy to make a mistake which may cause damage to the unit if done wrong.I also recommend installing LED lights into the 3 holes under the bed, so it's easier for your child to work at their desk. I installed these lights https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B1PSSNGT/ref=pe_27063361_485629781_TE_item, which clipped perfectly into the plastic rims that are provided for the holes. I just pushed the lights into place. I didn't need to apply any glue or fixings, but I'm sure you can apply an adhesive if you wish.It took a total of 9 man hours to complete (mostly done by one person, while a second helped to hold or move sections), but don't let that put you off. It was definitely worth the time and effort, and now we have a bed that our son loves and will last him till his is a grown teenager. And best part is it has freed up so much extra space in his room to enjoy now.

I ordered this bed for one of my daughter as she has a small room, Its a good design and well thought out. She use to have a bunkbed that rattled and wobbled, this one is sturdy and quiet, its well worth the money I paid for it. Its a great solution for storage, sleeping and studying in a small room. I would highly recommend this bed. My daughter is super happy with it.I would have rated this bed five stars if it wasn't for the instructions. They are very small and hard to decipher. It takes along time, and a lot of tea to assemble, definitely a two man job, as was moving the boxes upstairs once they were delivered. The bed was delivered early (by a month) by one person. I had to help him unload the van, this was not a problem for me, but it could be for someone else.Summary - Awesome bed, a tad complicated to assemble.

Beware!! Your going to absolutely love this bed!It's solid, sturdy and massive!The wardrobe is pretty much full sized, the desk is huge with so much storage space.This is going to last my daughter well into her teens I have no doubt.Can't fault the seller either, he key me up to date thoroughly from when I placed the order to tracking numbers etc.I did have a little issue with one the boards being damaged but within a few hours of emailing David had got back to me ensuring that the part is going to be replaced asap!It's been such an easy process!No divorce even though it was a mammoth take building the thing thou! Be sure to have a lot of cuppa!But honestly it's amazing!!

Bed isn't solid, cheaply made when tried to returned it because it came damaged will tell you that you will have to pay cost to send back which comes up to more then bed it's self comes with instructions but item is not labled up and expect all of your screws to be piled in one bag so you have to sort that . Made difficult to get refund to point you have to get intoch with bank he ignors bank leaving your child longer without bed as not everyone can wait for refund and pay for another one straight out had to get intouch with amazon itself to get this sorted because he ignored the bank and after that all done he will then try been all nice getting intouch with you when he's ignored you for weeks ignored bank not worth hassle definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND

We chose this bunk bed with work station & cupboard underneath because it seemed just appropriate for our son’s small box room (2.2x2m).Assembling was a little difficult and tricky due to the space constraints and that the instructions were not in English though diagrammatic but still required bit of thought as we found out once that we fixed a panel wrong way round and had to reassemble. It would have been good it all the panels were labelled with appropriate number/letter and any tricky panel clearly marked which way to be fixed. Also it would have been easier if the hardware was separated out in individual packets and clearly labelled.The most tricky part was to lift the heavy bed frame over the cupboard & work station in that tight space & get the screws and dowels to align and slot them in their holes at same time.Towards the end when we were assembling the drawers, we realised a panel was missing and we were short of some screws as well. We messaged the seller who immediately responded and kindly got the missing panel & screws off in post promptly without any fuss which we thought was really good service, thank you.There is definitely some scope to improve on the product but overall it was a very good experience to assemble this from amateur point of view and we are pleased with the outcome and more so our son is ecstatic with his room now as he can not only sleep and store his clothes but also sit and study.
