He gets used a lot and I want to ensure I replace parts any time the app says it's time. This roller pops right in (you can't mess it up since it only fits right on one end, then on the side flaps fit snug into a cavity. We have two people who live here with shoulder-length hair plus a shedding dog- the roller rarely gets tangled. Maybe twice in 6 months, but it gets used 10 hours every week. All my other vacuums choke on the long hair and need to get untangled.
