It is a good basic paddle. Quality of finish not quite top notch. Notable ridge in the blade not ideal - although still Perfectly functional.Compared with my (strong workhorse) grey owl paddle I note that the shaft of the pillory is a lot thicker so making the whole thing a lot heavier - not so good if in a long paddle. Also the head of the handle is more crude in its shaping. All in all though it still does the job
