This is my new personal Steak Knife
I love collecting knives, both Folding and Fixed Blade. I never had a small fixed blade before so it was a real treat to get this Civivi Timberbark. I believe mine is 14C28N steel which is easy to Sharpen and a tough steel for the price. Since this won't be cutting nails in half, I expect it to last my whole life looking brand new. It will officially be my new personal Steak Knife. It came out of the box NOT Razor Sharp. I was disappointed because my last Civivi folding knife was super Razor Sharp out of the box. So I sharpened it myself and now my Timberbark is super Razor Sharp. Great Knife. I've been using it for a month now and it feels perfect in my large hand. Granted I use it to cut food like pork, chicken, and Steak. But the wooden handle is beautiful, feels great in my hand. The Blade is a beautiful work of art. I love this knife. I have no complaints.

Awesome blade. Short handle.
The blade is top notch. The handle is short. Everyone complains about it but a little manipulation my giant hands fit on it ok with the pinky. I also tied a snake knot on it that helps as well. I would say for the price point it’s a must for an EDC do it all blade. No 90 spine though.

Swing and a miss
I'm a huge fan of Civivi knives and own 4 others. But this one was a miss for me. It has the blade shape needed for a decent hunting knife, but it's crazy heavy compared to others I own, even folders (which are usually heavier than fixed-blade knives). It's nice to have a knife with a sheath, but this one is kind of "crunchy" somehow, and takes more force than you'd hope to draw the knife, which is a problem if you attach it to a belt or pack because it really yanks around whatever it's attached to. And the handle is crazy short, especially considering its weight. It barely covers to my ring finger, leading to awkward grips. Might be a decent first knife for a young hunter, but not an adult.

Great blade, short handle
Great blade. Looks nice and performs well. Wish the handle was a little longer.

Perfect Fixed Blade for every day carry!
This is a great size fixed blade for every day carry. The Kydex sheath is very nice and I swapped it over to cross draw so I can wear it on the backside on my belt. The deep belly and full flat grind makes it useful for a multitude of tasks and the light weight makes it easy to carry. The price is good for this quality of a knife.

Micarta changes color quickly
I purchased the green Civivi knife and within a week the scales were no longer green, but a completely different color. It is as if immediately upon removing it from the package it stared oxidizing. We have other Civivi knives with micarta scales and we have not experienced this same change of color. The knife itself seems to be a good knife and the sheath is great, but a major selling point for me was the color of the scales. I am very disappointed in this purchase.
