Wow!
Small on my Nikon Z50II but it worked and I ran it at 4K60 for 2hrs without overheating! I used a baseplate/partial cage and just attached a Manfrotto 501 plate to the bottom with an extra 1/4-20 screw to hold the fan snug up against the back

Fantastic
Very good customer service as well. This is very nice. It’s it surprisingly cool and effective and carrying away the heat from your camera. It’s pretty quiet too and the placement means minimal microphone interference. It comes with adapters to fit many cameras. The build quality and fit and finisher excellent but the big kicker is I’m like the other camera coolers I have this one has a battery that lets you run it for about two hours. That’s brilliant, as all my other ones need external power.

Keep your camera cool in the heat
Not too long ago, I was the second camera operator at a wedding on one of the hottest days in Florida. Both of us were drenched in sweat, and, unfortunately, the camera I was using to film the bride overheated and shut off. Robert, who was running around with a gimbal filming, had no idea that one of our three cameras had gone down. And, of all the cameras to fail, it had to be the bride’s camera. He was super angry. Luckily, after two days of work, I managed to recover 98% of the footage. But still, it was absolutely horrifying to even think about telling the client we had lost the footage. Thankfully, it all worked out—but just barely. Since then, I no longer take chances. I now keep a few camera coolers on hand. This is my first cooler from DFCine, and it might be my new go-to. What sets this cooler apart from my others is a special added feature—a 1/4-20 mount on the bottom. Not only that, but it also comes with a riser that helps it work with virtually any camera. This riser sits securely between the camera and the plate, creating a solid connection without the clunky pressure fits (I had to 3D print my own for my GH5). While I can still use those older mounts, this one feels super secure and holds up really well. It did take a bit of pressure to ensure a solid connection to the camera’s backplane. When I disassembled the rig after the wedding, I was impressed—the back of the camera was cool. Not cold (which could cause condensation), but just right. I powered it using an external battery since I wasn’t sure how long the internal battery would last. I haven’t tested how long it runs on its own, but using portable batteries is easy enough, so it wasn’t a big deal. It worked flawlessly, keeping the camera from overheating and ensuring we captured all the shots that day. While it wasn’t the hottest day (it only reached the high 70s), I’m confident this cooler will perform well even in higher temperatures. A quick tip: Avoid running the cooler at its coldest setting, as this could cause condensation and potentially introduce moisture to your sensor. Just be mindful to prevent any condensation issues. Overall, this cooler is easy to use, portable, and reliable. It runs for a long time on battery power without significantly impacting the battery life. If you want to keep your camera cool and avoid missing that critical shot, this is a fantastic option!

Silent, Powerful, and… Prone to Falling Off?
The cooling unit itself is impressively built with high-quality metal components, an LED temperature display, and an ultra-quiet fan that won't interfere with audio—especially if you're using an off-camera microphone. When in operation, the contact area gets ice cold, making it potentially very effective at preventing camera overheating. However, the challenge lies in mounting it securely to ensure proper conduction. There are two mounting options: a camera-specific bracket and a tripod screw mount. Unfortunately, both have weaknesses. The mounts are made of plastic and feel flimsy, which is concerning given the weight of the cooling unit. The tripod mount doesn't seem to tighten enough, causing flex that reduces contact with the camera. The camera-specific bracket offers a better fit, but it still doesn't feel entirely secure. When panning by hand, I was disappointed to see the cooling unit detach and hit the ground. I may resort to using gaffer's tape alongside the bracket to prevent any unfortunate drops. While the cooling functionality is excellent, the mounting system needs improvement to match the quality of the rest of the device.

Made a huge difference in long exposure nightime photos
I recently tried out the DFCINE Iceman PRO cooler with my camera and was generally impressed with its performance. I do a fair amount of astrophotography, which involves long exposure times, and thermal noise is always a problem. I hoped this fan would help mitigate that, and it definitely delivered. The fan uses a TEC semiconductor cooling module and attaches to the back of the camera. It's made from machined aluminum, which gives it a solid, premium feel. While the included adapter brackets got it close, I did have a little trouble getting it to sit perfectly flush against my camera body, which would prevent it from cooling. A simple rubber band fixed the issue, though it's something to be aware of. It's a minor issue and shouldn't prevent you from buying this. Once properly attached, the fan made a huge difference in reducing thermal noise during long exposures. I noticed a significant improvement in the quality of my astrophotography shots, with much cleaner images. The built-in 3500mAh battery is large enough to allow for extended use without needing to be plugged in, and it can also be powered via USB-C. Despite the minor fitment issue, I found this cooling fan to be very effective at reducing thermal noise and improving my long-exposure photography. Highly recommended!

By far the best fan on the market! I tried 4 other fans, this is the best one as it has the cooling plate and is battery operated. I am able to get about 40 minutes of record time at 4k/60fps out of my Canon R8.
