Lidgate's Homemade Lamb Kofta, 440g

very nice kebabs not too hot nice flavering not the cheapest around but very nice

I previously reviewed Lidgates excellent  Lidgates Caribbean Chicken Kebab (4 kebabs x 180g each)  and thought they were so good, I would try another Lidgates product with my next Amazon Fresh order. Again, these were fantastic and such great value for money. I cooked them similar to the chicken kebabs, again on a Sage Smart Grill (similar to a George Foreman, but much hotter), with great results. These were meaty, tender, juicy and full of flavour. I still can't quite get over how good value these are - a similar supermarket equivalent product would have been more expensive, smaller and far less flavourful. I served them up with a mint yogurt dip (a bunch of fresh mint whizzed up with some greek yogurt in a blinder and some cubed up cucumber mixed in) and they were fantastic. This week I'm going try some of the Lidgates sausages (crushed juniper berry and venison!). If they're even half as good as these, they'll be wonderful. Give them a try - two per person will be sufficient, though we're big meat eaters, so we polished off 4 each - but for the price, that was fine!

I was expecting these to have a little kick, but sadly they didn't have any, not much flavour either...

V flavourful and juicy

Not bad - nice mix of herbs but it looks like it is marinated with some sweet sauce on the outside. Not as dramatic as described by another reviewer but still not to my taste.
