This mini PC is incredibly quiet, even under heavy load
The Beelink EQR5 Mini PC has exceeded my expectations in every way. From its sleek, compact design to its powerful performance, this mini PC is a true powerhouse. The AMD Ryzen 7 5825U processor handles everything I throw at it with ease, whether it's demanding productivity tasks, media streaming, or even light gaming. The 32GB of DDR4 RAM and the 500GB NVMe SSD ensure lightning-fast boot times and smooth multitasking.I'm particularly impressed with the connectivity options. The dual LAN ports and WiFi 6 provide rock-solid network performance, and the dual HDMI outputs allow for seamless dual-screen setups, boosting my productivity significantly. The abundance of USB 3.0 ports is alsoa welcome addition. This mini PC is incredibly quiet, even under heavy load, which is a significant plus. The 4K display support is crisp and clear, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. Overall, the Beelink EQR5 is an excellent value for the price, offering a fantastic combination of performance, features, and portability.

LINUX POWERHOUSE
I got this to use Linux only, and I'm running Linux Mint 22.1 on it. Everything's working like a charm! The graphics look stunning in 4K, and both WiFi and Bluetooth are solid. The sound quality is fantastic too. My wired camera, USB mouse and Bluetooth keyboard are functioning perfectly. It's a speedy machine for web browsing and office tasks, especially with those HiDPI graphics. The only hiccup I've noticed is that the restart option can freeze up sometimes, so I just stick to shutting it down. Will purchase from this manufacturer again.

BEST MINI PC FOR MEDIA SERVER.
I run my PLEX media server with this system. The specs on this tiny system are impressive. I run it "headless". That means I don't use a monitor or keyboard on it. I keep it plugged into my router and use Microsoft RDP to access it remotely from my tower PC or PC laptop. You can also use RDP from a Mac.I only have 16 Megs of RAM with it, and it runs PLEX with no issues. The video card (GPU) is the best you can get in a tiny system, and it runs an actual Ryzen 7 CPU. You can probably use it for gaming, but I would get the 32 Megs of DDR4 with it in that case. If you are a PC Guru like me or handy with electronics, you can install another 16 Gigs of RAM in it yourself and save a couple of bucks.Anyway, if you need a PLEX server, or a cheap system for light gaming, or even a Windows PC for working at home, this is a great system for the money.

Great little mini computer!
I bought this to use as a home theater PC. It's worked great for that so far, performance has been good enough for light gaming, and good for videos. This is probably even overkill for what I'm using it for. If I were in need of a home lab machine, I'd consider a fleet of these, because with 8 cores and 16 threads, and 64GB of ram max... These things can be turned into a real powerhouse.I've also opened it up to look at what's inside, it has a full length NVMe slot, and 2 SODIMM slots, so if you want to upgrade it... You can do that. Seems pretty well built on the inside too.I would also point out... It's less than 300 bucks. It's such a great computer for that price. It's crazy how cheap these mini PCs are these days and how capable they are.

May overheat
Wonderful experience with this product, however it is very likely to overheat, the fans are noisy but for me that's not a problem because i use headphones. Powerful, compact and has a very good designThe product tends to overheat, i think this is its major downside, but to anyone who wants to fix that, you can underclock the CPU with almost same performance, to do this press the windows key, then search "edit power plan" then press "Change advanced power settings" look for "Processor power management" then "Maximum processor state" and change "100" to "90", then press Apply and you're done

Awful heat management
Do not get this device under any circumstances. The specs on it are decent for the money, but the heatsink is incredibly undersized for the CPU and GPU. Utilizing under 10% of the CPU will cause the temperatures to rise well over 80 C, even when the fan is blowing on full power. This makes the device extremely noisy even for basic tasks. Because it uses a chipset designed for a laptop, it is nearly impossible to find an adequate heatsink and fan, even if the size of the enclosure is ignored. To get the heat management to adequate levels for even moderate use would require spending more on a custom heatsink than the device costs.

Powerfull at max ram. very usable as is
I upgraded the SSD from 500GB to 2TB and installed 2 sticks of 32GB team group ram. Then I allocated 16GB worth of video ram for CAD and light gaming and it does not disappoint at all for industrial purposes and its able to play MOST games at 720p med-high with FSR or 1080p low. it pulls an even 30 fps either way in palworld, snowrunner and WoW Classic plays at 90ish on high. This is now my SO/HO proxmox server running Ubuntu, TrueNas and windows. If youre looking for a super small PC to use as a media center that you can hook up a few usb or bluetooth controllers and run a bunch of emulators then this is absolutely for you. if youre looking for a guest computer this may be a little over kill unless you want a super low power gaming computer that can just get the job done. All in all this is a very solid unit and i do recommend it.

Great little PC for home use
5 stars for the price to performance. Great as a little home PC for work processor or web use.My only criticism is the Windows 11 OS version it was shipped with is end of life and you can update from just windows update. Easy work around though, download windows update assistance and 40mins later you're good. Still deserves the 5 Stars.
