Buffalo Tools GENWHKIT Generator Wheel/Handle Kit

Was about to order a wheel kit for my 4000 D/F Generator but didn't want to drill holes in the frame to make it fit. After exploring cart options decided to go with the other kit. To my surprise Sportsman finally put out their own kit. Received quickly, and installed in about a hour using my tailgate as a work bench. All parts bolt on tube frame. although a little tight (could of used slightly longer bolts, had to squeeze with pliers to put nut on, as tube frame is not perfect), handle fits easily lifted out of p/u bed and wheeled to shed over stone and grass no problem. In FL I use for back up generator in case of power outage. Recommend for all Sportsman 4000 W Generators

You can keep the two stands from moving by drilling a hole in the clamp and thread a screw into the frame. Without doing something like this the stands will move on you no matter how much you tighten the clamps. That's the poor engineering part. Otherwise, nice wheels, but handle is not mounted very good either.

Ease of installation. Works well. Makes the generator much more mobile.

Picked up this wheel kit because it looked like it would work universally on other brands as long as the generator wasn't too big. The wheel and axle kit fits perfectly on my Generac GP3500iO but the handle doesn't fit. Not a big deal to me since I really wanted the wheels above all else - Generac doesn't build or supply a wheel kit for this generator. All in all very happy with it. If I had to complain about anything, then I'd say that the stands have a tendency to twist out of alignment, but it's minor, something I may be able to fix by tightening even more.

It was fairly easy to install. What I don't like about it is the handle attaches to the rectangular piece by using bolts to clamp the bar on. It doesn't actually bolt to it. When you pick it up by the handle, it twists quite a bit. Not sure if I will use the handle much, I don't want it to break.

My old Coleman has a square bar chassis frame, so I had to compress the rounded mounts slightly in a vise, use longer 1/4" bolts, and some 5/16" nuts as spacers on the bolts for spacers, so the mounts grabbed the frame tightly when bolts were tightened. Had to add a nut on each end of axle as spacer, too, to take up the slack. Worked well without having to drill mounting holes in frame of generator. Materials were of good quality, and tires are hard rubber with plastic hubs, so they should not flat spot. So much easier to move now, than on the furnature dolly that I was using.

This actually fits my Sportsman 4000df! After buying and returning two other kits, this is the one! Perfect fit, tough instructions, but it works great!

easy to install just plan on using a set screw or a piece of rubber to keep the legs from turning in or out every time you move the generator. definitely better than making something in your shop. the handle is to short in my opinion

Fit perfectly and easy to assemble. Now I can move it around effortlessly.
