It does work, but it’s really slow, and you can tell it’s struggling, especially with thicker air-dry clay. I can’t help but feel this device would really benefit from a traditional power brick that could deliver a little more juice.The design is clearly geared toward younger kids. My daughter mentioned that it felt a bit too childish for her now that she’s 11. A can of spray paint could probably help update the look, but that's more work than we felt like taking on.The air-dry clay that comes with it is fine, but again, because of the low power, it’s tough to really work it into anything more than very basic shapes. A lighter, softer clay (if that's even a thing?) would probably be a better match for the wheel’s capabilities.Overall, it’s a fun, affordable way to introduce kids to pottery. My daughter is now genuinely interested in taking real pottery classes at a local art studio, which honestly makes this little toy worth it in my eyes. Realistically, once we go through the included clay, the wheel will probably get shelved and only pulled out once in a blue moon. But as a first taste of pottery, it delivered exactly what we hoped for — a fun experience that sparked a new interest.

Fun to play my kids loves it. They spend so much play time by making pots. It's great to have for kids to keep them away from tv screen. The price is affordable and nice to buy as birthday gift. Good quality material is used.

This is a cute set and is good for younger kids. It's brightly colored and comes with all the needed ingredients ... clay, tools to shape the clay, etc. The wheel itself charges nicely but it does have to work hard to turn the wheel when you're pressing on the clay to shape it. Maybe a little under powered? But my niece loves it and is having fun making projects with it. It's a decent value for all that you get in the kit.

Oh my gosh! Such a GREAT purchase. My 10 year old has made so MANY fun things with this! Bowl to hold my jewelry, a cup for my coffee and the list goes on! I have purchased so much new clay for her, a paint set and a pottery sculpture set. She is so good at it now, that she wants a faster machine, but make NO mistake, this is EXCELLENT for beginners and the price is amazing. She uses it almost daily! Really a great buy to see their creative side. I never knew she would be interested in this, so I went out on a limb and bought. She LOVES IT.I am excited daily to see her new creation and she is getting GOOD!
