Works great once you figure out how to get it going...
I bought this printer having read reviews online of many printers and because Ultimaker recently added the Tornado to its free Cura software, which means there is now a good slicer program that works with this model. The printer arrived green as depicted and was fairly easy to setup from youtube videos. I swear if you read the manual for setup, you'll scratch your head more than if you do the videos. Finally the first three days I had the printer it just didn't work right-- because I had the x and y axis plugs reversed. After watching the machine behave funny I started to suspect that I had things reversed, and a quick google led me to find out this is a common mistake among the Creality CR-10 owners. If you don't know this-- Creality CR-10 is a very similar printer to this one, and its a bit cheaper-- and has a giant userbase. So if you start puzzling about your printer, go google problems the Creality folks are having, and they are sort of the same. Tevo tornado has a fairly robust bunch of videos online, but Creality has dozen more. Still, I'd rather have the Tevo, it seems a little more robust. A week into having the printer, I have done 5 good prints, and now have the machine set to paces on a 52 hour, 12"x12" product prototype. Paying Shapeways to print my prototype would have cost me more than the cost of this printer, so I'm pretty pleased with my purchase!

Not stated printer board or color but works great.
Upon opening I was disappointed to learn that I was not shipped the green bed as pictured. Just a personal preference of mine. The power cord that came with the printer was a European power plug. I had to get a computer power cable. Model of the printer board was not the MKS Gen l 1.0 as stated in the Q&A. Instead it was a MKS 1.6 board. All that being said, the printer works fine and I have printed several objects no problem.

This thing is a piece of junk
Received TEVO TORNADO in very nice and secure package. Unpacked and put together in about an hour.Wanted to update the firmware so it is current.Firmware not available from manufacturer.Joined the Tevo Owners Group on facebook. Lots of firmware modified by who knows. With there own modifications. There is almost no documentation with this printer. There are no technical specifications available for this printer. You have to hunt and dig for any information about any part such as stepper moters. Whats the Vref? This printer is NOT Plug and Play.It you know what you are doing, you can build a better printer for less money. Its just a cheap knock off of another knock off of a iPrussa 3d printer.

Tomorrow's tech in your hands today!
We purchased this for our son's birthday gift. One of the best gifts ever. This is an upgrade for him in the 3D printing world. He is extremely satisfied! It is always phenomenal what he is able to accomplish with this printer! However, we will probably have to upgrade again soon to accommodate his love of 3D printing!

Until the bubbles under the covering on the bed is resolved, I wouldn't buy it again.
The only complaint with this Tevo Tornado is that the bed bubbles. Large bubbles appear and can ruin your project. There aren't too many ways to correct the bubbles except by replacing the bed or stripping and trying to recover the current bed. If not for that, I would have scored this tool fairly high. We have had this approximately 5-6 weeks and haven't been able to use it for the last 2 due to the bubbling.

Do not purchase Tevo printer! No customer service!
First it arrived with no power cord so I purchased a cord from another vendor to save time. When I powered up the printer for the first time one motor didn’t work. I can’t rate print quality as I was never able to print anything but tech support gets zero stars. I tried to contact Tevo multiple times but they are non-responsive. I don’t know why Amazon allows incompetent companies like Tevo to sell on their site. Stay away from Tevo!
