Rubber Tap Swirl - Large (Pack of 1)

Probably ok for many users, but my kitchen tap had an extra lip on it that this swirler would not go over. I used to get over such problems with rubber, by swelling it in solvent for a while, but, instead of swelling, this type of rubber just went brittle and split.I turned the internet upside down trying to find something else that might fit over the tap, and, in the end, discovered a push on 'pet shower' attachment. This effectively gave me two swirlers for the price of one.It's a shame that none of the swirler makers seem to have looked at the designs of many of our modern taps. All I needed was a simple vinyl cone, from which the ends could be cut off to suit whatever sized tap, and whatever thickness of stream of water, but I could find nothing like it. I used to use 'universal boots' for electrical waterproofing. They could be cut to length, and made perfect swirlers, but I cannot find them for sale any more either.

The material of which it is made seemed to be much firmer than the last one I bought and the swirl will not fit onto my tap. I will have to try to whittle it down to give more space for the tap, but there is always the danger it may leak.

I’m afraid I regret buying this. It’s extremely thick-walled, so is not at all flexible, which is what one wants above all from a rubber tap. Every time I try to direct the stream of water to the side, it threatens to come off the tap. And it was very difficult indeed to get on the tap in the first place.Not recommended, unless all you want is a slightly longer tap!

really get your dimensions right before ordering otherwise you end up not using it and wondering why you bothered. The 2 stars is not for the product so much as its one of those products you don't know until tested and so the seller wins but you lose (we tend not to send low price products back as its not worth it)

Excellent product, very impressed. Fitted my tap perfectly and stops the constant dribbling after you turn off the tap. Highly recommended

Not as flexible as expected so not as useful but OK.Needed to heat up the end to get it to stretch over the tap end but that means a good tight fit.The directional flexability is not as much as expected but it does work.

I bought 2 packs 1 as spare, to fit over kitchen mixer tap, which was approx. 11/8" dia. managed to fit after submersing in boiling water then securing with Jubilee clip works OK.

Very disappointing, these are very stiff and inflexible so you cannot easily create a high pressure jet of water by squeezing the swirl together which I thought was the whole point of them.
