Have a 6 year old and his cousin who live riding these things and they mastered it pretty quick. I got it for them for Christmas and I purchased two. One of them is not working for the speed settings. It will only go on the first two settings. When reaching out to customer support from hyper gogo they denied assistance because it was purchased from Amazon. If the customer support was good I would give this a 5 star rating because the kids love it. I will update my review if I am able to get better customer supportUpdate: I got support through supplier on Amazon rather than the website that sells these. Amazon support was good compared to the website directly which was horrible. If you have this issue they told me to turn it on and short press the speed button while holding the brake 5 times in order to fix this if you have the same problem. Kids love riding these around and they mastered it pretty quick and actually learned how to ride these before riding a bike without training wheels. Now they can ride normal bikes without training wheels.

My 7 year old loves it. It is strong and sturdy. Looks so cool. Very smooth take off and stopping. Battery life seems like it’s 3-4 hours. Well worth the money.

It's a little smaller than I expected.

My grandson just turned 6 and outgrew his electric powered car. I wanted something to take camping with us, so it also needed to be light enough I can load it in the camper.This is perfect. I had no trouble assembling it by myself. He loves riding it on the several cul-de-sacs near my house. The real test is when we take it to Mid-Ohio race track. Our campsite in in the "North Woods" and there is a fairly large hill at Thunder Valley that I want to see if it can pull him. I have a small e-bike and I need to peddle at the hill. I'll come back and update after our first trip in June.But for around the neighborhood he is loving it.

We are so disappointed. We gave this bike for our 7 yo birthday. We have neighbors that have the same ones. We thought it was going to be great! He rode it and charged it for 3 days. Then today after he rode it till it was dead, we went to plug it in and it sparked while pushing the charging cord into the bike. The light on the charging cord didn’t light up. So now we have a sad boy and a dead bike. The only good thing was Amazon was good about initiating a return. Very thankful for that.

First off the bike is pretty good, VERY simple to put together. There is a YouTube assembly tutorial if you search “HYPER GOGO pioneer 12 Assembly Guide”. Secondly, this bike is FAST, we have a Droyd e-bike as shown in my comparison picture here, that also goes up to 10mph but this pioneer 12 goes significantly faster. However one reviewer said that it goes noticeably slower than name brands, but I would argue that they mistakingly had the bike set to the LOW speed setting without realizing it. When we first tested the bike we were also surprised at the slow speed, but after referring back to the manual it shows it has 3 speeds, slow medium fast, this was also when we realized it has a different display screen on the bike than what’s advertised on their website. We pressed the button 3 times till the max amount of green bars were lit indicating highest speed and WOW was it fast after that. The exhaust pipe vapor feature on this bike does not function at all, this is one of the main reasons I think this is likely some sort of knockoff. I attached a picture with a red arrow pointing to an area that is supposed to have two buttons one for a sound feature and one that turns on the exhaust pipe vapor feature. On the bike we received that spot has been intentionally built with a cover piece where the buttons are supposed to be, and upon looking closely at where the pipes connect you can see there is no machinery to vaporize the water and light up but just cheap black bent plastic that was intentionally put there. Also where there is supposed be a real speaker vent for the sound to come through, it is just fake/pretend speaker that doesn’t have actual holes as a real speaker would have for the sound to come through. So between that and the lack of the exhaust pipe vapor feature and the the different display screen this definitely seems like some sort of knockoff as it appears to have been intentionally made to LOOK like the real pioneer 12 from hypergogo but conveniently lacks the actual features…or maybe some defect models that didn’t make the cut for the website and are being sold here? Who knows. Honestly can’t say for sure but overall this is a great bike that has phenomenal power, long lasting battery, ergonomic comfort, and cool aesthetic. So if you don’t mind not having the exhaust pipe water vapor feature, sound feature, and the different display screen, I recommend this e-bike and for the price I would say it’s the best performing option on Amazon.
